I recieved this tonight so I have hardly put it through its paces yet... however overall i am happy with it. Its very slick and faultless looking on the outer. This is not made of any steel as i read somewhere. The shell seems to be a rigid cardboard with a bit of flex. The zip looks weak and more akin to a pencilcase zip. The interior is just stretchy nylon type stuff. Dont expect any cut proof stuff. You will need to buy cheap knife covers to cover your knifes before you put them in the slots or you gonna cut it to shreds. Length... i cant be bothered finding a ruler but i have a global g2 8 inch chef knife and it is about a perfect fit. You may be able to fit another 2cm or so in there but it would be right near the zip and i think a hazard. Theres a global sticker in there too. I am happy with the look and the idea of a folder type case but it is expensive for $80. I could find no other case this style. I would love to see this with kevlar inside. Aluminium shell and heavy duty zip. Anyway it is nice and i suppose i would recommend it but treat it with respect as it isn't very heavy duty. I can imagine the zip failing after some time making it a bit dodgy. ... show more

I was excited to finally see this knife folder on the big markets. The moment I received it I went and checked to see if I could fit my set of knives and other tools, well, I came out a little disappointed. I don't feel comfortable placing my unshielded knife into the pockets of this folder, but I'm assuming that's just how it's going to be. I also was not able to fit my sharpening steel into this. I use that tool countless times and the fact that it doesn't fit makes me think twice about buying a smaller honing steel. It's an okay bag. I don't have to wrap my knives anymore in a towel, but even then all my tools would be at hand. The fact that it can go safely into my bag, awesomeness. ... show more

Works great for your global knives but it needs knife sleeves to cover your knifes and stop them from cutting the case

Nice knife holder for my Global knives but BE CAREFUL when you pick it up and make sure it is always zipped up! I had knives fall out two times and if they were to hit my foot that would be tragic!!
