This is a fun, educational flashlight and book toy. It is themed around unicorns. The flashlight projects scenes onto the surface wall. The book is 24 pages long with a cute story. Cute little set, however was bummed to learn I had to get batteries for it to use. Once batteries were ordered and arrived, the only way the light works is if you squeeze the handle where the switch is kind of hard (too hard for toddler hands) otherwise it won’t work.

    • My Grandkids Will Love It!
This is such a cute story and flashlight combo that is a perfect bedtime book/toy for kids. The flashlight will shine pictures from the story onto the wall., and this is going to create some fun times for my grandkids, while they are READING. Love it.

    • Really cute
This book would be a great gift for a child who doesn't like to sleep in the dark. The story isn't super-compelling, but soothing stories make for sleep-filled nights. The flashlight is adorable and includes pictures from the story as well as some other cute phrases and images. The battery compartment has a screw to keep little hands and mouths away from the batteries. The only two drawbacks are that it uses three odd-sized batteries (LR44) and the flashlight is more like an add-on to the story rather than necessary to its plot. Also, because the slides for the flashlight are small, I would agree that three is the lowest age I would consider for a child, and I might raise that age to four if they're going to be unattended with it. ... show more

Cute and all but is not very practical. First, batteries are not included and it's not like AAA or AA that everyone has in their homes, but the 30/32 ones that most likely you'll have to order. Then the button on the flashlight is very hard to press, and since it won't work unless pressed, it's hard for my toddler to use without my help ... show more

exactly as advertised. This will make a great early chrirstmas gift for my Goddaughter who is unicorn obsessed! She's 4yrs old and will love the displays of this when putting herself to sleep at night or during quiet time.
