Is it gettiong better ?
Format: Kindle
We begin this story with a nice different perspective. Caleb's pov is intriguing. It seems this vampire might have a heart after all. The insight into how the heirs act is interesting, to say the least. Darcy and Tory may have just lost all their spirit and hope, but it seems they haven’t lost their impish qualities for trouble. The lore in this book is slightly complicated, with all the students being Fae but then having different orders they belong to and different elemental powers and abilities, as well as strengths and different ways to recharge their power. We get more info on Darius and the professors' connection, and things get a bit more braided with the connection they share. We also get more info on Max. It is a change that Darius and Professor Orion are playing nicely, and even Caleb is less aggravating than in the first book. Darcy and Tory are starting to get a handle on this new school, new magic, and all that comes with it. This book has more pranks than bullying, with Darcy and Tory not being the victims of the heir but finally getting them back for the embarrassment they caused before. It is a more enjoyable read with the female MCs being stronger. This book gets steamy as one attraction finally ignites. This story has some editing errors, with a sentence being repeated later on in the book. I guess the Pitball game excited the author as well. I admit this made-up sport is the best part of this book thus far. The end of this book is exhilarating, but what does it all mean? We don’t get a lot of answers, but we sure get action-packed sequences of intense heroics. Darcy and Tory are heroines after all and not just magical misfits. This story read and ended far better than the last, but the slow start and strong finish writing style is predictable. ... show more

Even Better Than Book One – Addictive, Magical, and Full of Tension!
Review Image by Jarlyn Camacho Jarlyn Camacho
I am completely hooked on the Zodiac Academy series, and Ruthless Fae took things to a whole new level. This sequel was packed with more magic, more chaos, and even more slow-burn tension that had me flipping pages (and hitting play) nonstop. The character growth in this book is chef’s kiss. Watching the Vega twins step into their power and begin to trust others was so satisfying. The found family moments were warm and heartfelt, and the bonds between the side characters added so much depth. The romance? Off the charts. The tension? Delicious. There are slow burns, complicated triangles, and just the right amount of angst. Plus, the prank war had me laughing out loud. It was the perfect balance of humor, drama, and emotional payoff. Add in high-stakes magic and a jaw-dropping ending, and you’ve got a book that’s impossible to put down. I can’t wait to see what book three brings! Highly recommend if you love dark academia vibes, powerful heroines, and emotionally intense fantasy romance. ... show more

The Ruthless Fae: Empowerment, Magic, and Mischief
Format: Kindle
The Ruthless Fae is a magical and empowering read. I loved watching Tory and Darcy step into their power—it truly felt like a coming-of-age journey wrapped in a mystical world full of magic and creatures. Beyond the fantasy, it’s a story of women’s strength, resilience, and choosing to do what’s right. Playful at times, with hilarious moments sprinkled in, this book strikes the perfect balance of fun and meaning. ... show more
