These are advertised as covering the range from 10mm to 16mm. Measuring them, I'm getting 17mm on the higher end, and an ellipse with 10mm on the shorter side. Turning the knob past this point is very difficult. I think as long as the outside diameter of the hose is in the 11mm and over range, you'll be fine. Having a knob you can turn with fingers is a neat feature. These things always end up getting mounted in such a way that the screw slot is facing away from you, and are impossible to turn. My only reservation is what happens if the plastic deteriorates over time, and you need to remove the clamp - do you cut it off? ... show more

I'd say stainless steel is the material for the band, but the screw is definitely NOT stainless, or it's of such poor quality that rust is it's main ingredient... Do not let these get wet or you'll be sorry. If your usage is within a dry environment, they are pretty doggone handy though which is why I went with the three stars instead of one. ... show more
