Came with zinc coated steel mounting hardware. Not the best choice for use around stainless. Some of the literature showed a nozzle included, not the case. I should have bought this 10 years ago. It’s awesome. No complaints whatsoever. Buy it, it will change your backyard aesthetic instantly. Note: while you can use multiple hoses connected together, I suggest one 100’ as the hose unions will chew up the guide hole on the reel.

This hose reel is bullet proof and sturdy. Easy to assemble and maneuver. I would recommend buying a short stainless hose to connect to the bib inside the reel to prevent hose pinching. I have 2 of these and will systematically replace all other reels with this one.

If you install this in concrete the instructions will tell you use a 9/16 masonry drill bit. Good luck finding one. The anchors they supply will only work with a 9/16 bit. Had to go by 5/8 masonry bit and anchors to make it work. Other than that love it.

    • There is Drama with this hose cart

I liked the fact that it is Stainless Steel. It is a good looking cart. After about 8 hours and a sliced finger, it is finally together The directions have a lot to be desired. You have to hav a little mechanical background to figure it out. Trying to put the c clamp around the hose was not a good idea. It kinks the hose. After trying to get the hose unkinked I dropped the screw on the lower panel. Running my hand on that panel, trying to find the screw there was a really sharp piece of metal that was never filed down ,like a razor blade. I sliced the tip of my finger pretty bad. I am sure it was made over sea’s and they just do not care about eliminating things like this. After getting everything done, I turned the water on and it was really leaking. Trying to get the hose connected to this cart takes two men and a boy. Channel locks trying to get access to the hose connection is almost impossible, you have about enough room to make less then a 1/4 turn tightening the hose. This was about an eight hour job to get this thing working. All in all it looks really nice and I got all the leaks stopped. I searched high and low for a good cart. There really are none available. All of them are designed in the states and manufactured in China. I would have been happy to pay extra to get a good quality cart. ... show more

I really like the heavy duty constructions and the winding mechanism for the hose. BUT, when I used a heavy duty hose, I had the leak issue several other users described, at the internal hose connector. I determined the issue is caused by the slots cut in the internal connector ( see pics) are casusing the hose rubber washer to be cut when the coupler was tightened ( see pics). I emailed the support site, described my issue and sent pictures. I got a quick response and the promise of a replacement part. I replied and made it clear that this is not a defective part isssue, but a DESIGN issue. I made a suggestion on how to correct this issue ( I consider myself to be a fairly good engineer). Apparently they did not understood as they just sent a replacement part AND it was not even the the right one. I got around this issue by replacing the chewed up washer and using a light weight hose that would easily flex onto the said leaking connector. No big deal, but one would expect a heavy duty hose reel to work with a heavy duty hose. Since tech support was responsive and made an effort, I gave a them an overall of 4. Just be aware of leak issue if you use a stiff hose. 06/28/22 Update. Tech support continues to work with me on this issue. I am impressed with that. Will update.. 8/16/22 Update. Apparently Giraff Tools engineers did not under this is a design issue and not a defective part, as they sent another connector, manufactured just like the original part. That will not fix the chewed up rubber gasket issue described above... ... show more
