The media could not be loaded. These siding blocks resolved my mounting issues with the light fixtures, giving them a great appearance. I installed them on three of my outdoor light fixtures that looked ugly because the installers installed them straight into the siding when the house was constructed years ago. Since my siding is aluminum(these were designed for vinyl siding), I had to cut the siding mount to fit, but you can barely notice the cuts. They were super easy to install after the modification I made and now I know the wiring will be protected from water. The price is okay and the quality of the material is great.

Had always disliked how my lights looked against the siding of house. These things are a great fix as it cleans up the look by not seeing the mounting hardware between the gaps of the siding. Well made and easy to install. I did remove the old mounting boxes but was able to secure these with no issues. These are a must have for a CLEAN look.

Block came as ordered. It was in good shape. I was hoping to use it as a dryer vent exit block, but it turned out it was not quite the right size for that application. I used the effortless amazon return procedure for a complete refund.

Well made except where you attach the cross bar used to mount the light fixture, these two screw boss locations should have been recessed. I had to use a dremel to recess these so the light fixture would mount flush, fortunately there was enough material thickness left for the screw to thread in. What a great product to mount a light to double 4” steel lap siding! Made this an easy install. Would have given 5 stars if I did not need to modify but only took about 10 minutes. Seems like an oversight in the design. Still recommend!

For some reason these things are not readily available in stores anywhere, its weird... not even HomeDepot or Menards. That being said, they were EXACTLY what i needed when installing exterior carriage lights on a newly constructed building already sided. Maybe because the building was built by the Amish, but the wood siding reveal was of pretty odd dimensions... so i needed an electrical box with a base that could be modified. I used by Milwaukee rotary too (a Man-Dremel) to notch out the base to match the reveals. The weight and feel of this product FAR exceeded my expectations. It appears to be extremely durable!
