- Installation Tips: Cleaning the bottom of the garage door before starting the installation, pre-drill rail can be easily fixed to the bottom of the garage door with screws. Applying detergent when installing the rubber seal will make it easier to install.

I was nervous about installing this myself, alone, but it couldn’t have been easier. The tracks come precut in several pieces, making a one person installation easier. That said, if your garage is 16ft long, you will need to cut/saw since you will have excess track. A handsaw or a metal grinder will work. It was my first time with a grinder and no issues there. The screws in this package are self perforating so you didn’t even need to pre-drill. The seal itself is also easy to isntall. Watch a video beforehand. It slide in fine halfway before I needed help to push. I suggest you spray soapy water or a lubricant to glide the seal. I started with the good end first ( the bad end is the side of the seal that is bent out of shape from shipping). If you are able bodied and alone, lift the end above your head and it will make sliding easy. If you need help, have someone feed the seal while you pull. Keep in mind, if your floor is not level this esp may not fully close any light gaps. My corners are not level so I will need to raise the ground a bit, but product worked great and covers the length of my door.

I tried three other products for my 30 year old door and none fit. This one fit, was fairly easy to install, and with an abundance of liquid soap and silicone spray, I was able to slide the 10’ rubber gasket into place myself. Appears to be a well made product at a fair price. (Be prepared to cut off a fraction of an inch from the final piece of aluminum, if necessary.) Unfortunately, the supplier provides wood screws when pan-head screws would be more appropriate…..thus my 4 star rating.

Installation was easy and everything seems of good quality but the screws. The ones that are included will not tighten up completely, meaning that the retainer won’t attach firmly to the bottom of the garage door. I’m going to have to remove the seal and replace the screws.

High quality track and seal. Much, much better than thin vinyl seals. My door bottom had an odd track that nobody's T-end seals fit, but it popped out. This new track also fit the existing concave shape quite well and it's peace of mind to know I now have a more standard "T" track should the seal ever wear out.
