This is a very high quality product in my opinion and great value for money. The aluminum tracks are very sturdy and I was able to install them in under half an hour. They fit my door perfectly because my door has the groove to accept them. The last track had to be cut down to size, of course, so you will need a hacksaw. The screws are self tapping and do not require pre-drilling, in fact they work better if not pre-drilled. When it comes to feeding the gasket into the track, you don't need 2 people, (although it would have been faster with two). First, I squirted hand soap all the way along the tracks, then alternately pushed the rubber 'tail' into the track, until it stuck, then pulled the 'head' through a bit further, not too much, maybe six inches to avoid pulling the tail off the track. Just do that about a dozen times and it's in. Then I used a pair of garden pruners to cut the rubber to size. This all took me around 30 minutes because it took me a little while to figure out the best method. Now its just a case of moving the stop switch around to get the height of the door closure just right. Too far in one direction and you will get a gap. Too far the other direction, the door will close then re-open because the obstacle safeguards kick in. Once it is perfect, you are done. This was a great kit easy to install. Track came a little longer but I'd rather that then short so cutting is involved. Had to use different screws then what where perverted. Should hold up seems like good quality

My garage door seal was definitely worn out and old and needed to be replaced but they don't make them anymore but this was a good replacement. I didn't realize at first that it included screws in the box so I of course went to the hardware store and bought some and then found them later when I went to throw the box away so if you get this just make sure you look in the box. It's probably best to have a couple of people to help line it up and screw it in place the screws are self tapping so you just put them in and they were plenty long to work with my original door and you definitely need two people to help scoop the seal in. One person can get most of the way by pushing the seal in from the end but it really does help with another person to help pull on the other end. ... show more

I have a 30 year old house along with 30 year old systems that I bought 3 years ago. After using the garage door opener for 3 years and having it sound as if it was going to fall on the car, I decided to get it repaired. A few huge quotes, I decided to replace only the springs, tensioner springs and cables. It runs like s dream but I noticed that the bottom weather stripping was in need of replacement. after another set of outrageous quotes, I found a door person who was going to charge me $95 for the materials and $90 to install for each door. Too much so I went looking and found this kit with the mounting channel and rubber stripping for around $60 total for both doors. It came in well packed and ready to install. Based on my last 2 bidding efforts I decided to tackle this project myself. Needless to say it was more difficult than I first thought but with some well placed adjectives and my 6'2" grandson we were able to complete the work to my wife's satisfaction which is no small feat. The materials were top quality and the fit was excellent. The hardest problem was sliding the weather stripping into and through the channel. A little W/D 40 was a great help in completing that task. Overall, if you are looking to replace your weatherstripping on your garage doors, you can do no better that this kit from GinChain. ... show more
