Nice. Interacts with my HTC One about as well as in the car. That is to say it controls the music most of the time and can sometimes summon Google Now by holding the phone button. Haven't tried speakerphone calls, but was able to ask the phone about the weather, commute, etc. while still in the shower. That's worth $30 right there. :) Sound is tinny as would be expected from such a thing. And watch out for the suction cup; doesn't seem to be enough to hold the device. Mine has already fell on its face on a hard counter. Suppose it's a testament that it didn't break (or even stop playing). Arrived on a Sunday, two days after I ordered it (as promised). I thought the guaranteed delivery date was a misprint, but it showed up bright and early Sunday morning. Added after purchasing a second: After a few months with these (bought a second for guest bathroom), have a few more observations: * Powering down takes a split second after the beep; don't let go until it says "Power Off". A bit annoying until you figure it out. * Connecting, using the buttons, talking to Google Now and Siri works very well. Just make sure the phone AND media connect (see next point) * If it fails to connect to the phone part of the device, it will not say "Connected". Will just bleep to indicate the media is connected. Also annoying until you figure it out, but likely covered in the (tiny) manual. Apparently smart enough to try to connect to phone on pressing some buttons. * Charge lasts an amazingly long time with normal usage. Charge it every few months it seems. * Sound really is pretty good for the size of the thing. Would be better if BT 4.0. * Suction cups are failures here. Won't hold this thing up for more than a few seconds. Fits nicely in shower caddies. Haven't tried any of the many other variations of this thing (some with the same hardware it appears), but this one seems like a steal at $30.

Got this to get through podcasts in the morning while showering -- works a treat. I queue up Pockets Casts content and then work the controls as needed. One nice thing is -- at least with Pocket Casts (I think other podcast apps may differ) -- the the backward/forward buttons correspond to the skip-backward/skip-forward actions in Pocket Casts, so if I don't quite hear something, I just hit the backward button to go back 25s, or forward 10s (as I've set them). And the battery lasts super-long: I seem to be able to go about a month between recharges, maybe longer. The only demerit for me is that when you turn it on, its startup/connected chimes play super-loud. The level doesn't correlate with the previous volume level used, for no obvious reason. (It also doesn't correlate with previous device, or phone, sound level.) And the volume level *remains* high when you start the podcast going, and it only drops when I (quickly!) hit the down-volume button on my phone. Fortunately my current shower isn't close to anyone sleeping, so I don't have to worry about blasting them with it. Another nit some might care about, is that this seems to pair with only a single device. That works great for me, because I'm not using a shared bathroom now. If you're in shared living arrangements where multiple people might want to use the speaker, this may not be the deal for you. The just-turned-on volume thing makes it four stars for me. If that doesn't bother you, and you don't need to share with other devices, feel free to consider this five stars instead.

Over a number of years I have purchased several different shower speakers and none of them worked. Either the battery was horrible, the bluetooth didn't work well and couldn't pick up the device, or I had to constantly reconnect it. Or there was so much static I couldn't hear the music. So I bought this as a gift for my father after pouring over reviews for days and I was suspicious due to my previous experiences. SPOT ON! Seriously, AquaAudio landed it. I don't have a single complaint. My father absolutely loved it and I went back and purchased one for myself. The battery lasts forever. I turn mine off when I leave the shower and back on when I come back in, I rarely have to charge it. The bluetooth connection is solid, so the music isn't crackly or drowned out by static. Come to think of it, I can't remember ever hearing static on this. As far as the volume goes, I have not tested the volume limits, but it's always been loud enough to keep me happy and the lyrics are clear. Another thing I loved about this is the suction cup. It holds incredibly firmly and doesn't fall off the wall randomly like many shower speakers I have bought. Others I have bought had solid suction, but it ended up being a pain in the butt every time I had to remove the speaker, suction cup and all, to charge the speaker. AquaAudio has a small notch on the back that you slide the suction cup into. When you need to charge it, you slide the speaker off of the suction cup and the suction cup remains on the wall. When fully charged, just slide it back down onto the suction cup, From someone who doesn't have long finger nails for prying suction cups off walls, this is a big deal for me. I have not tested its waterproof capabilities, but I have used it in the shower for a while with no problems, and accidentally dropped it into a full bathtub a time or two with no negative consequences. I have not encountered any cons so far so it looks like my research paid off. I definitely recommend this. I have, after all, bought two of them!
