I have been wanting these for over a year and finally pulled the trigger. These dishes are beautiful! Excellent quality that have not deteriorated after use. I am super careful to not break them. I wish they would just sell the plate separately as I really need more plates, but it’s too expensive to justify two whole sets for me, and I do not need that many bowls. Please note due to the material some plates and dishes have a slight variation in hue , but I understood that based on the material and how it was made. ... show more

    • Slippery when wet! Read on:

This set of dishes is nice enough. I ordered the gray and overall they seem less interesting in reality than pictured. If you are used to using stoneware dishes then I'm thinking this may not be an issue. However, if you're not or you have any hand strength/dexterity/fine grip issues these may not be the dishes for you. When wet these dishes are VERY slippery and because they are super smooth without a lip they easily can slip out of your grasp. I know this to be true because as I was washing them the 1st time, a larger bowl slipped and hit my soapstone counter on the corner of the sink and chipped badly. Again I'm sure this isn't an issue for most people but a caution to those that may fit into that category. Lesson learned for me. I need to stick with thinner, lighter lipped dishes. ... show more

New Dish set arrived and sadly there was a broken salad bowl and unfortunately the only options are return the whole set or reach out to manufacturer. So I have and depending on their response will depend on the update of this review. I have been looking for a new stoneware set for a few months and finally decided one a set when this randomly popped up and I loved it the unique design and colors are prefect for my style. I like that they are good solid feel but not so heavy they feel like I could use it as a tool like some stoneware. The only con I have is the minimal packing for the bowls unlike the plates which were so secure and the boxes had to be ripped apart. So far I love these but we shall see ... show more

I have never written a review but this product deserved it. I ordered this service for 4, and it arrived undamaged but was mispackaged with 5 small plates and 3 large plates. I was hoping not to have to repackage and return the whole set so I contacted the seller at amazons suggestion. I explained that all I really wanted was the one missing plate and that I would send the extra small plates back if necessary. The company replied within 24 hours and took all necessary information explaining there was no guarantee they would be able to send a replacement. I received a box today with not one but two large plates so that my small and large would match in quantity. This was a little over a week after the last email exchange. Customer service is great from this company and the set is beautiful and well made. Highly recommend! ... show more
