We received two separate boxes and they arrived together. Once opened the pieces are all labeled and if you lay out the wood and organize the screws before you start it makes the building process easier. It was simple to assemble but you will need a second person to help hold at certain steps. We decided not to attached the table that comes with the bed because we will have a mattress at the bottom as well. After much research for loft beds, I decided on this one, because it provided two ladders. One on the side and one at the end. We bought two loft beds and did an "L-Shape" set up. A couple observations and tips: 1) Screw #1 and #10 were in the same bag but had slightly different lengths; make sure to sort them out first. 2) Some of the wooden dowels were broken and they do not provide extras. 3) Replaced the slat wood with our own 1 x 4 pine for more stability. 4) Additional 1 x 4 was used as cross beams at the front, foot and side of the bed, for extra support. This stabilized the loft bed and did not wobble as much. 5) Purchased a "Black Chalk / White Marker MDF Board" from Home Depot to seal the space in front of the desk for one bed. 6) Added curtains to one of the beds for decoration and privacy. Overall, we are pleased with this loft bed after adding additional beams for support. It is a great value. Our mattress was around 7.5" high and my daughter at 5 foot 2 inches, was still able to sit up in bed without hitting the ceiling. We only built one slanting ladder since there was no room for the other bed. It is supposed to be secured to the bed, but we skipped that part and allowed it to be taken off freely (there are hooks at the top of the slant ladder to hook onto bed). ... show more

Pretty good quality for the price. It does ship in two separate boxes that might not arrive on the same day. Be patient putting it together and double check orientation of the pieces. The bed was not very stable on my hard wood floor. I used two L shaped brackets to anchor to the studs in the wall to prevent side to side movement. I screwed these under the bed near the slats (head and foot area). I used one more bracket up top near the ladder to prevent front to back movement. Without anchoring the bed the bolts will eventually wiggle loose. I can't speak for stability on carpet though. You may not have the same issue. ... show more

Bed is honestly great. Wood is great and string but only downfall is the bed shakes and is a bit wobbly . My son doesn’t feel comfortable because of this . Otherwise it’s a good bed

This loft bed was very affordable compared to other products. It was very easy to assemble it was my first time putting together a bed and it turned out great. Like many other post say it is wobbly going up but it is not going to tip over or collapse. It actually holds the mattress well. Underneath the loft bed if a queen bed that is separate. The bed is worth the money! Easy to put together over all! This is exactly what i want for my daughter, she love s it soooooo much! ... show more

It says it can hold 463 lbs. BS, I weigh under 300lbs, I took two steps up and the "Sturdy" ladder began to crack. After spending about 3-4 hours Assembling it, we wasted our time setting it up, time that I don't have. So thanks for the False advertisement.
