Honestly the instructions are a little confusing, there’s one step that feels like “do everything.” Overall it was easy to build, my son loves it. It’s a great size for his room and I put a cot mattress under the bed for more resting space and our pets hang out under there. There were extra parts in the kit, and the delivery could have been a little better. One of the pieces came broken due to mishandling, but it wasn’t so broken we couldn’t use it. I wouldn’t blame the company for that though.

Does the job. Got this bed for my two year old son. He was upgrading from a floor bed to this. We put in a 6” mattress and it allows us to feel comfortable that he won’t fall off. The bed was fairly simple to put together took my husband and I about 2 hours. I will likely go to a lumber store to get more wooden slats to hold the mattress up. It only came with 6 slats in total. My two year old is 40 lbs and is quite the tank. Adding the additional slats will make me more comfortable. We were able to fit his nugget couch underneath for storage and for extra cushions for fort building. He loves playing hide and seek under it. I was able to find small baskets at target that fit perfect. Overall I am satisfied with the purchase.

Starting this as a 3-star, we'll see how it goes. The instructions were pretty confusing and lacking a lot of detail...It took my wife and I a lot of time to decipher where all everything went. The step that required us to actually assemble the long frame pieces on either side gave no guidance on how to execute it but it was really difficult for the two of us to do. Could have used a third set of hands. Sharp points in several places, easily remedied with a hammer to round off the corners. The bookshelves are a nice touch but would have been nicer if they had a way to attach at the head and foot rather than along the ladder side of the bed. The biggest problem by far are the support slats. There are only seven of them when it needed thirteen at least; I'm not super worried about my 36-pound toddler breaking it, but I'm not letting my 65-pound older kids up there. The wood the slats attach to on the frame is thin and feels flimsy, the pieces are cut a bit too short, and my wife picked up a few splinters just from handling them...really unacceptable when they end up directly overhead as my small child plays under the bed. The standard twin mattress we bought is also a bit shorter than the frame and there's no way to mount the slats all the way at the end of the frame; the mounting piece doesn't extend that far, so there's just a big void at the end of the mattress that my son could potentially fall right through. Once we figure out fixes for the above? It's a very cute setup and my 4-year-old loves it. Just wish some of the execution wasn't so poor.

Decent instructions with guessing pictures at some points, but I put it together in a couple hours without help. Sturdy enough for my child's mother to get on. STURDY! The ladder is steep enough to be a problem for a 1year old, so exactly what I wanted.

4 star product, 5 star price! Nothing can go terribly wrong while building it. Not too many visual imperfections. Holes all lined up good enough. Tips for Building: •Make sure you line up both shelf backs exactly where you want them before screwing them down; don't have the bottom sticking so low that any weight could sit on it. •Make sure you line up the shelves with the same reveal across the fronts before screwing on the L brackets. •If the cross bars that hold the bed are a little short, screw them to the side that doesn't have shelves first; if one side is going to break, you want it to be the side where the shelves are since they would catch the mattress. It could use some sticky back felt pads for the legs, shelves, and ladder legs. Overall a great product, plenty of hardware to make it sturdy, and a great price.
