Yea, well goes together easily, but not very sturdy. Big dogs easily push it down. Heavier & longer anchor pieces might help. Would not buy again.

We wanted to install semi-permanent fencing around a patio to keep our dogs safe yet allow them to be outside with us. Comparable panels I priced at big box home / garden centers ran $20/panel and higher for similarly constructed products. So this pen with 8 panels seemed like a much better option. It arrived very well packed in heavy cardboard cartons, reinforced by taped down plastic strapping. Inside, panel corners were protected by additional cardboard padding, held together by heavy duty zip ties, and every other panel's framework was wrapped with foam padding. It took a little patience to remove that as the foam was secured with tape in several places. But thanks to the padding and packing, the panels arrived in excellent condition with no damage except for a few minor scratches. Those are of no concern to me--this is a DOG fence and the dogs will no doubt subject it to some wear and tear anyway. I fully expect to spray paint the panels in a year as a maintenance thing...no matter how well powder coated metal is, that's just part of the deal in taking care of it. Our plan is to rebar a treated wood ground "footer" on which these panels will rest. We'll have to drill holes for the anchoring pins and we also plan to stabilize the pen with a few rebar stakes as well -- at 40" tall, the pen doesn't seem that stable with just the pins provided; besides it is going on a gravel driveway so they are too lightweight to drive into that surface anyway. In this manner, we can also make it so that the gate panel swings in its entirety for going in and out, instead of squeezing through that narrow inset dog gate. The latches on the dog gate are poorly designed but because we are going to make the whole panel swing as a gate, I plan to ziptie the dog gate inset permanently closed. All in all, I am QUITE satisfied with this pen. It looks fantastic, is well made, and will make a perfect patio garden "border fence" to keep my dogs contained--at a price that can't be beat. ... show more

Overall a great pen. Pros: easy to assemble, very easy to customize and fit into many areas and in different shapes, sizes etc. Material seems to be of good quality too, though that will bear out over time. The biggest, and maybe only, con I have for this pen is that it is NOT sturdy at all. I set it up in a storage building on my property that has a dog door at the rear so that my dog can stay in it and the attached fenced in yard while I work. Its great for this use but the pen is so unstable that I would not trust putting my pet in it in an outdoor setting where I did not want them to escape. This could be quickly fixed by 1) the company providing stronger fence stakes or 2) you just going out and buying stronger fence stakes yourself. If using it in a situation like I did or in an indoor setting, then you should be fine with the stakes provided. ... show more

Using this fence in my backyard for exotic pets. The only real issue my wife and I have with it is the gate is narrow. The gate is 12" wide with the door open. We have to step through the door sideways. If they would make the door a few inches wider it would be a noticeable upgrade. The rest of the fencing is as expected or better for the product. For dogs this is a great portable fence. For large reptiles I recommend getting cheap tent pegs to help secure the panel from being lifted up by a strong reptile (tegu or monitor) ... show more
