  • They are exactly what they say they are Brite Flat GHS Bass Strings!!!
They are exactly what they say they are Brite Flat GHS Bass Strings. And they do sound fantastic!!

  • Smooth
I'm new to bass, after messing with keyboard and guitar for years. I picked up a Vester bass for cheap, needing some work. I put round wounds on my other bass project and decided to use flatwound, on this project. Just looking at these I can tell my fingers will be much happier. Those round wounds stings remind me of a rat tail file, but the rounds are good strings. No complaints here, we will see how they sound when I get the Vester bass finished and ready to plug in. .....thanks. Kem. Aug 3 2023. ... show more

  • Can never go wrong with GHS strings!
I put these on my new fender, jazz 70s bass and they’re awesome!

  • Great bass sound
I had been using ground wound as a good cross between round wound and flat wound. Decided to try these, & wow! They sound so much better! Lots of deep tones (which I like - I think a bass should sound bass-y!), yet has subtle highs and mids that blend together to make a truly great bass sound. Lots of sustain, and the "punch" is there when you need it ... show more

  • Love these strings
I put a set of these on both my Dean passive acoustic and Ibanez Soundgear SR800 active electric. They both sound great going through a GK 400RB II and GK CX115. Just the right amount of fat flatwound sound with a bit of brightness at the top end. Very satisfied! I didn't notice any "stickiness" as some reviews on the net say. Good out of the box for me. Be sure to check the GHS website for the correct winding length to make sure you don't order too long or short strings ... show more

  • I dig these strings
Long time fan of GHS products. The Pressurewound have been my go-to strings for more than 20 years. These strings give closer to a flatwound sound without being quite a "thud". Feels good under my fingers. Sound good on my ancient Japanese Univox P-Bass.

  • "Flats" in large print is very misleading
Read the smaller print. Despite "Flats" appearing in the largest print, these are not flatwounds. They are what I know to be called half-rounds; meaning they're roundwounds that have been sanded, or whatever, down to a flat feel surface. They completely lack the silky feel and smooth shimmer sound of real flatwounds. GHS would do well to remove any use of the word flat or flats from this packaging, as it is very misleading. ... show more

  • I’ve dug these strings for decades
Cuts down the physical resistance that round wounds have. Physically smooth but highs if needed. Sounds like a bass should sound. Highly recommend!
