Features

  • GHS Strings - - - Play LONGER - Sound BETTER- Unrivaled FRESHNESS
  • Semi-Flat Feel, Roundwound Sound - Combines the comfort of flatwound strings with the lively tone and sustain of roundwounds.
  • Alloy 52 Nickel-Iron Construction (Slightly flattened) provides enhanced magnetic response for superior output and balanced tonal clarity across all strings with increased sustain. The strong magnetic properties and unique composition of Alloy 52 contribute to noticeably longer sustain.
  • Set Number: M7200 SET - (M) - Medium Gauge - 044, 062, 084,106 - 37.25" Winding Length
  • High-output signal. The higher iron content in Alloy 52 compared to pure nickel or nickel-plated strings increases the string's magnetic properties. This results in a stronger interaction with a guitar's pickups, producing a hotter, higher-output signal.
  • Vintage nickel" sound. Despite the increased output, Alloy 52 strings are formulated to provide a tone reminiscent of classic, pure nickel strings from the 1950s and '60s. The result is a sound that is warm and full-bodied but with added punch.
  • Powerful, Focused Tone Delivers tight lows, rich mids, and a bright attack ideal for rock, funk, and studio recording.
  • Revives vintage bass guitars. For older bass guitars with lower-output pickups, Alloy 52 strings can provide a significant boost in signal and tone, giving them new life.
  • Versatility with pickups. When paired with the right pickups, Alloy 52 strings can provide a heavier, "crunching" sound. They are also more dynamic, offering a wider range between playing lightly and aggressively.

  • GHS Pressurewound Bass Strings, 37.25" Winding, Medium

  • The result is a string with incredible articulation that can run the gamut from motown to progressive and back.
  • Fretless players also love how Pressurewounds retain that signature "mwah" tone, while going easy on their fingerboards.

  • Some of the finest strings ever
Style: GHS Strings
These strings have an amazing feel and tone. Nice mids and good growl for a pressure wound string. I've finally found a string that does a good enough job of both rounds and flats that I don't think I need two basses to do both jobs. I love these strings.

  • Oh yeah!
Style: GHS Strings
I am not a fan of half round strings, sound flat and don't care for finger nose of rounds. I bought these on recommendation and put them on with hesitation (due to previous use of non flat wound strings). Let me tell you they sound and play great on my Gretsch G5440LS Hollowbody Electric Bass. So much so that I decided to try them on my Fender Player Series P bass and love them on it. I won't change the TI Jazz Flats on my Jazz Bass but these so far are keepers. Had them on the Gretsch for 2 weeks now and P bass for little over a week. ... show more

  • Weird Gauge Choice
Style: GHS Strings
These are cool strings if you're looking for a mellow-er sounding roundwound. The lighter gauges of the D and G strings (44 and 62 respectively) sound twangy and unbalanced compared to the A and E. This was the biggest turn-off for me as I, and most bassists, like to have consistent tone across the set of strings. I left them on for a few weeks with daily playing and the D and G did not calm down at all, so off they went. ... show more

  • Great strings
Style: GHS Strings
My favorite strings. Tone is right in the middle and the strings are easy on your fingers

  • Great strings for all styles
Style: GHS Strings
They have the sound of rounds but play and feel more like flats- I prefer these by far to "ground wound" or "half rounds".
