This caramel syrup is just the right consistency at room temperature to easily squeeze out of the container and onto whatever desert you have, and slowly run down it. The color is a rich medium brown. The taste is pure caramel. I bought this brand because Ghirardelli has made a commitment to using only natural ingredients in its products. The only ingredient they do not specify is 'natural flavor'. I trust it is something that has not been made in a laboratory from plastic. You have to be wary of other brands that use 'artificial flavor'. As a physician I am particular about what I put in my body because many of artificial ingredients cause cancer. Many have never been studied so you can't know if they are harmless or not. Why buy a risk when this product is perfect and perfectly harmless?

Delicious product to use not in coffee, but over ice cream. My mother-in-law used to insist on our getting butter pecan, and since I didn't like the flavor of that, I'd put a squirt of this on it, and it would be palatable. It is very easy to use, and I've never had a bottle break or crack in shipping. They sit on my counter with my coffee/tea supplies, so they don't need to be refrigerated, which is tremendous. It's certainly easier than making up my own caramel sauce before I eat a lump of ice cream. Haven't seen them leak, but the only issue is getting that last little bit out of the bottle. Then, when I set it on its head, it can get leaky. Just gotta watch it. Maybe next time I'll put wax paper to re-seal the lid before inverting. It has been of a good consistency (as I've ordered several bottles over the last 3 years the lady has lived with us) both in terms of how it looks, and in terms of how it tastes. Not variable. Consistent flavor and texture. Love it! Haven't tried other flavors, except for the dark chocolate, but that was good too. Quality manufacturer.

WOW! The squeeze nozzle is perfect for making those pretty, swirly caramel designs around my cup. It pours smoothly, is easy to control, and makes my homemade coffee feel like something I'd order at a coffee shop. And of course, having it delivered right to my door makes it even better. I use this Ghiradelli Caramel Sauce almost daily in my lattes! I think this better than the torani one because this is lower in fat and I'm not trying to make my daily latte a whole dessert.😅 it's mixes with my espresso well, has great flavor and great consistency for drizzling the sides or on top of some whip! The one flaw is with the packaging.. do NOT turn upside down and leave it that way when getting to the bottom. It will slowly keep out and get all over your counter or nice coffee organizer 🙃 The price is decent as well and I will continue to keep it as staple in my coffee corner!

...what other reviews wrote about it is also true. The syrup is quite thick, with a good flavor to it. Good shelf life too. It's fantastic for ice cream, good for hot coffee (dissolves/mixes with it quickly & flavor generally remains). The weakness comes when serving it in ice coffee, the syrup doesn't dissolve/mix well, it sinks to the bottom, which is a pity. If you love ice coffee with caramel flavor as I do, I'd suggest looking somewhere else.

It tastes like a butterscotch candy. I mix it into my coffee and it gives it such a nice flavor. It's not too thick. I think it would pair great with some vanilla ice cream. I can't wait to try it with different things.

I like the caramel flavor. It is buttery, creamy and delicious. I dip my apples, I add a little to my coffee, and I add a little to my chocolate milk. I keep mine in the fridge so it’ll harden. I’ll definitely buy again.
