I normally go to a salon for a relaxer, but due to the pandemic, I had to find an alternative. For years I had used a straightening comb, but just couldn’t get over my fear of burning myself (instilled by my mother, who always nicked me with hot tools in my youth). I have to admit I was skeptical about how good straightening brush could be but after researching online articles and reviews, I decided to buy this GHD. WOW!!! The results are better than I expected! My kinky hair is almost completely straight; much better than the results I got with my old straightening comb because I can get the brush on my roots! No burned scalp, fingers or ears! There are less expensive brushes out there but I believe you get what you pay for. This is a very well-made product. Will this replace the salon? No. Will this replace my straightening comb? Absolutely! All you curly girls, if you’re in the same boat as me, I highly recommend this comb for easy straightening at home.

I’m really impressed with this hair straightener. I have very long curly hair. I used to get my hair chemically straightened and honestly this does a better job! It was easy to get the hang of using it, I’m used to plain flat irons. Not once did it feel too hot or burn any part of my head! I love that it gives body to the hair. It falls so beautifully. Boy I wish when I was in high school this was around. I’ve struggled all my life with fine frizzy curly hair. I ordered this for its intended purpose, 2nd day hair. I’ve taken steps to buy dryers and now this that won’t fry my hair. This brush is amazing! Use it on dry hair. A slow brush and I often brush underneath or flip my head upside down for volume. Lifting at the root works well. So glad I found this but I always cringed at review videos where they just brush on top down from the root. My ends came out beautifully. You’d never know I had a curl in my hair!

I like it so much, easy to Use and it saved my time. It's useful and practical. I only gave it 4 stars because it is not easy to do the roots with it (it stay wavey a littile bit). Also it doesnt have different set forthe heat.

I’ve never been one to use a flat iron so I’ve opted for keratin treatments 2-3 times a year. But I still needed something for smoothing frizzy neckline hair or straightening out wrinkles. I picked the GHD Glide because it leaves a shine on the hair and it doesn’t make your hair completely flat and shapeless. This is easy to control and the fact that it has only one temperature means I can’t over do it and fry my hair. Needless to say, I am loving this tool. I think I will even be able to use less keratin treatments in the future. For reference I have thick coarse hair. It’s not wavy or curly in the pretty way, it’s more frizzy and unruly. But with this tool it’s sleek smooth and straight with a nice bend at the end.

I have been using this hot brush for several months. I have very long, thick, frizzy/wavy hair and also have a GHD flat iron. I have been disappointed with this item. The design is poor: the handle is heavy and hard to grip, and the on/off button is right where you need to put your fingers to maintain grip. This annoys me every time I use it. It noticeably tames hair, though, but it takes longer than a flat iron and does not do as good of a job. You must brush each section of hair with a regular brush before you run the hot brush through it; otherwise, your hair will get caught and overheat.

I've been curious about hot brushes for years, but never bought one because I read too many horror stories about tangled, burned hair and saw too many complaints that they were ineffective. I decided to take a risk on the ghd brush because it was on sale for Prime Day, and because I love my ghd flat iron. This brush is a life-changer. I have thick, fine, curly hair that goes frizzy with almost no effort. I used to have to choose between spending an hour with hot tools trying to get my hair smooth and shiny versus looking like a frizzy mess but not spending hours on my hair. Now, I can let my hair air-dry and then go over it with this hot brush, and it gets to perfectly presentable in ten minutes. You won't mistake the results for a perfect blow-out (particularly, for me, my ends never get fully smooth unless I'm pressing them between two hot pieces of metal), but it's my weekday go-to, and I don't turn to my flat iron unless I have an event. A couple of notes: (a) if your hair isn't already detangled, it will get snagged. I brush thoroughly before using it; (b) I would be a little freaked out about using it on completely wet hair, and would recommend getting your hair 90% dry before using it; and (c) yes, it's heavy, but it feels sturdy and my ghd flat iron has lasted for, like, seven years, so I'll take some weight in exchange for quality.

Pretty simple, I received this brush, opened it up and there was a hair in the brush and the ties were not tied around the cables. Clearly this was opened by someone else. I don't buy refurbs so this kinda sucked.
