I was torn between this one and platinum line but ultimately I purchased this one and have been very happy with it. It leaves my hair so shiny and smooth before I even add any oils to it. I think the size is perfect for me especially because I like to style my bangs a certain way and the size has never been an issue. Honestly the heat level took some getting used to since I would always just set my straightener to its highest and go from there. But I’ve found that it’s not necessary and even harmful to your hair. This brand went DOWNHILL. I used to be a hardcore fan of the brand. I have curly hair and wear it straight often, I have my first GHD flat iron still working from high school- I'm almost 30. I wanted to try their new technology and the flat iron works well... when it decides to turn on. I have trouble shooted and it's just not the same quality as before. It doesn't turn on anymore or only for a few seconds. My GHD blow dryer and old flat iron work perfect plugged into the same outlet. I also don't appreciate how it seems I got a used product too. Borrowed a friend’s and I had to get my own! This is the first “one pass needed to get to bone straight” flat iron I’ve owned and I’ve paid up to $200 for others. I was hesitant due to price but my hairdresser told me she paid more at the professional supply for hers. Works great. I love how fast it heats up. And has a sound for when you turn it on, off, and when fully heated. I'm also using much lower temperature which my stylist says is so much better for my hair. Took off one star for the price. I’m a millennial so I basically invented the hair straightener. I kept this but it absolutely not worth the price. I think any hair straightener should have a built in comb at this point, otherwise it leaves weird creases. Sure; it’s small and lightweight but I don’t think it does anything amazing.
