Anyone who has done a pour over knows how bad the first picture is I attached. There is almost always a huge crater in the middle. It’s okay for one cup of coffee. The picture is on a two cup setting 22g. The bed should be as flat as possible for even extraction. I don’t think I could make these craters if I tried lol. Knowing this you really need to make the settings perfect. If you don’t saturate the whole bed with water you’ll get the crater I showed. I’ve only gotten around it by setting the machine to pour so much water it’s high above the bed then seeps down. The water the drips/pour is not wide enough to touch the sides. This is the reason you have to oversaturate the bed so you can hit the edges. The second photo is what a coffee bed should look like. Nice and flat as can be. Even extraction. 4 stars because it does work well. It’s just a bad design not to hit the edges on the design.

Love this coffee maker but we need a second carafe. No way to order on their website and they do not respond to emails and/or nobody on chat. Imagine if there is any warranty issues, etc. it would be hard to get ahold of them to rectify. It's a lot of money if there's no backup customer service and it goes back. So far it's fine. But we will end up using some other off brand carafe/filter as we can't seem to get another from Gevi.

the rotary head sometimes stopped working. This often happened if you made 2 coffees in a row. Overall, the idea is good, but the quality of the grind and the device itself is not very high.

The Gevi 4in1 has an impressive appearance and has a built-in scale and grinder, however not worth full retail price. I bought new with significant Holiday coupon, so I am able to justify the purchase. The pros: accurate scale, esthetically pleasing and easily fits on counter, stainless steel components, flat burr grinder with tons of settings and little retention of ground beans, ability to customize pour recipes/modify/save, ability to use beans or ground coffee. The cons: hopper has no scale of its own, so beans must be weighed even in beginner mode machine recipes, touchscreen small and bit difficult to use accurately, water reservoir max is only 24 oz with pre-programmed cup size of only 6oz., instruction booklet lacks some helpful details when creating/modifying/deleting new recipes and saving them is bit tricky. Suggestions: integrate the scale with the hopper and eliminate the need to weigh then fill. Make deleting custom recipes simpler, allow saved recipes to be modified without requiring brewing, enlarge touchscreen for better accuracy. Enlarge water reservoir to maybe 30 oz. In summary, it's unique and "pretty" and makes a great coffee when fine tuned. If you are a beginner at pour over, stick to the manual method and save the $. If you are a "coffee snob" its fun once you get beyond the learning curve.

I bought this Jan 2023, then started not working last month. they diagnosed flow meter was broken, but they said they don’t provide due to out of stock. Looks like this is troublesome in this machine. and they said they can’t do anything about this as it is one year out. It is very frustrating sith 500 USD machine. please don’t buy it and their customer service is horrible.
