For the price, this product met and exceeded my expectations. The bean grinder is awesome and has given me what I have been missing as far as that fresh ground taste you can’t get from ground pre packaged coffee. I bought this as an investment to stop buying iced lattes and macchiatos from Dunkin and so far it’s working great. I am still learning how to tamper down the coffee just right but it has given me a great drink every time I’ve used it so far! Value is off the charts! It is easy to use and fast and making my many shots of espresso. It is a bit noisy, but that is for a short stint of time. It is somewhat cumbersome to clean, but overall a wonderful addition to our home. It is also sooooo cute!

I bought this because our old breville was taken by our roommate and I didn’t want to spend 1,000 dollars on a new one. It’s a pretty good machine for the most part. The espresso taste good with different coffee beans. It does feel cheaper than the Breville. I wish it had a steam wand tool that helped it unclog like the previous machine. When you turn it on it takes time to warm up the water, so that’s kind of annoying. The breville didn’t take time to heat up, and with this machine you have to turn off the steam button but turn the steam wand knob on to let the hot water out so that it will cool down enough to pull a shot. That takes more time than a Breville. The grinder also isn’t the best. You constantly have to unclog it which is difficult. We keep the basin empty except when we want to grind. There are different grind settings and I think the finest setting makes it clog easier. It does come with a container to store whole bean or ground coffee. I’ll just grind all the coffee into that so I can have more for different mornings and then the grinder is empty and we don’t have to worry about it clogging. All in all I’m satisfied. ... show more

I bought this about a week ago. I've only been able to be 3 or 4 cups of espresso, and that's it. Now when I try to brew espresso, it won't work due to over pressure. No matter light or heavy I tamp the grounds, it won't brew.     • If you don't know how, just don't
I have been in need of both machines for some time, I was making french press Sumatra trying not to seem too spoiled in desiring, wanting a new machine so deeply I was dreaming (sleep talking) of a million dollar espresso bar in our bedroom. After reading the many reviews I stayed away but each month I would consider this again. I am glad I realized that the bad reviews weren't actual problems of the machine. And I have been very pleased with my purchase. If you have taken the time to study how to make a good (non barista here) it's never going to be a perfect cup. I learned enough to know I will never make the best ever. In my opinion Mr coffee is a step above Dunkin and Mc Donald's, Starbucks is the ugly stepsister to Dean and Deluca. But my attempts are better than Starbucks. 1) I need coffee to think. 2) I was not installed with the patients option. 3) Nobody pays me to get up and make my own coffee. 4) Everyone has to be good at something, my specialty is ordering to go dinners. Pros: It's very actractive Works well Informs you if it is low on water Informs you if it needs to be cleaned Matching set Makes perfectly brewed cappuccinos Con: People who do not know that it needs to be descaled to keep it functional. People who do not realize they need to clean the burr properly and it will not seize, but if it dose, wipe it clean/clean it out. Setting the burr to maximum espresso setting is too fine and will clog the grinder. Cleaning and not setting to max will fix that. It comes with tools to clean it, but clearly not one bad reviewer bothered to read the instruction book for the machine they bought to try that expert operation. At the end of the day a cup of espresso IS a science. The correct type of water, the correct temperature of the water being brewed, frozen or pantry beans, the roast of the bean, where the bean is grown, not too purified water, regular maintenance, all play a part in the bitter or smoothness of your cup. Flavor is an all together separate topic. And basic machine performance is the difference between the Jo drinkers and conscious coffee aficionados. This reviewer is both at times, but please leave room for operator error, before claiming the "Chinese" made another bad product. That's just tacky. ... show more

The only tricky part is getting the steam to come out without the water…the video that is in the slideshow is funny as that guy isn’t an Italian and made a fool of himself trying to imitate Italian speaking English…. The equipment works great!! Looks as shown in all the pictures. Nice and shiny!
