I take a regular coffee cup, fill it half way or less with milk and a little honey. start the steamer and run in the milk until the milk is very hot. Then I put it under the spout on double-shot and let it run.. Stir, and it's done - great. took less than 3 minutes.

I wasn’t sure what to expect and really wanted a breville but just couldn’t justify spending that amount of $ on similar size or getting a smaller one and then still needing a better grinder etc. After a ton of research went with this and 1000% percent worth it considering the amount I spend on Starbucks. Drip coffee doesn’t do it for me… I have adult problems. When it got here I took about an hour/ hour and 15 messing around with it to figure it out and I’ve never owned an espresso machine before so if I can figure it out anyone can. What helped me before it got here was YouTube videos on different types of drinks like lattes vs cappuccinos vs macchiato or Americanos etc and also how to froth the milk correctly with a manual frother . It’s really not bad at all. Lastly and most importantly if you have a million things going on in your day and don’t have a lot of time , spend the extra money on the items needed for your prep. Don’t question it , i went back and fourth but I’m glad I did because it wouldn’t be the same. The brand I went with was Knodos. I got both the Knockbox and tampering station kit, seriously it makes your life SO much easier. I got their Tamper (58mm ) and distribution tool, scale and little triangular dosing cup. I also got Starbucks syrup (Carmel and vanilla to put at the bottom of the cup for a lattee ) and a couple of little glass espresso cups that look like tiny beakers so you can easily pour into your cup after. You’ll see in the picture. I’ve been making Lavazza Crema E Aroma Whole Bean Coffee Blend, 2.2-Pound Bag (8/10 strength) and it’s good and strong too… if you grind the beans on the finest setting it’ll clog the machine. I had it set to 5 and it works great. I usually scale out about 17 with the beans grind them and put them in a small tupper ware for each one so it makes the entire process so much easier because I’m on the go so much . Also makes it easy to just have it set up in the morning and just turn it on. The milk frother takes time and just make sure you purge it each time to clean and every time you turn on the machine have the knob in the middle until all the settings light up that’s how you know it’s ready for water, steam , grinding , one or two shots. Sometimes it’ll need to reheat just put it back to the middle setting until it is ready again it doesn’t take long . When doing the milk , once all the lights are on turn to the steam button and just turn the handle to a 3 o’clock position with the milk . Just barely submerg it and when it bubbles submerge it and hold until you feel it’s just about too hot to hold and that’s how you know it’s done. I like to add a tiny bit of cinnamon on top! Hug win on this machine but prep items are key I think for any at home espresso making .

All I needed was a simple coffee bean grinder as an old one decided to retire. It does the job, but do it like instructions say. Small batches for fresher coffee and also Chris I g efficiency. Takes about 15 seconds for 2 scoopers, which is provided.

Purchased as an alternative to spending $700 for a Breville. A few days in, not disappointed!! It took approx 15 cups to find the right grind, (for us it's setting at 7 to 8), and there certainly is a learning curve but makes an amazing espresso! It also has so pros over the Breville in that you can manually add more water than the preset 1 or 2 shots for an Americano and you can run the brother at the same time when getting the dual broiler. It also has a very large 2.8 ltr water capacity. Add the $68 4 year warranty and your golden for 4 years and all for less than$450! I was also impressed with the packaging and the overall build quality!

Gets the job done for the best price on here, however, if you shake it up too aggressively it’ll tend to leak out some grinds

It grinds great, you determine the ground (Rough, Fine, etc). A little bigger than a phone and wider but travels well in box especially if driving to other destinations. Very easy to clean and can grind up to 8 or 9 scoops of beans.
