The media could not be loaded. Wanted to really try this out over several weeks and I have to say this coffee maker makes the best cup of coffee I have had in a very long time. there is a learner curve to getting the strength where you want it, adjusting the grind of the beans and how much to grind for your perfect cup. But once you get this dialed in, you will be happy. It is really easy to use, the instructions do a pretty good job and in no time getting the coffee ready will be second nature. we make a full pot, 10 cups each morning and have found for our taste, I set the grind to 6 and the strength to the highest or richest setting. this coffee maker brews an excellent tasting cup of coffee. The grinder is a Burr grinder which in my opinion is the best type of bean grinder to have. Just fill the top with beans, get your settings where you want them and turn it on. The bean grinder does not have to be used, just be sure to turn it off before starting the brew. This does use the cone shaped filters which since changing to them, I love them. You fill the tank from the back which could be a little difficult especially for shorter people, like my wife but overall we absolutely love this coffee maker. One issue and I have not had any trouble with it yet is cleaning the grinder . It is not very easy to get to and you really need to follow the instructions as far as what type of beans to use. It must be a medium bean. The top of the bean holder does seal nicely and you never want to get moisture inside it. Here is a quick tip, every few days or so grind all the beans out of the hopper and don't let them sit in there for a long time. I would definitely recommend reading the instruction manual carefully before using. Freshly ground coffee beans make the coffee. If I’m going to drink coffee, I want it to be a good cup. This coffee maker is worth the price and worth the space it takes up. It can be set for anywhere from two to ten cups. If you choose to grind your own beans, you can adjust your setting to what ever fineness and strength you want. The grinder itself is relatively quiet. There is a feature called the "blooming" function that wets the ground beans before it percolates to swell the grind to enhance the taste. You can also set the warming plate to remain on from 0 to 120 minutes. Of course, it includes the ability to automatically start your coffee in the morning before you get up. It is a tall unit and if you place it on the counter under an overhead cabinet, you'll have to slide it out to fill the water container or add coffee beans. There is a lot to this coffee maker, so I recommend reading the directions that come with it. Highly recommended. ... show more

This coffeemaker is a serious coffee maker! It does everything you need, and some things that you probably don't even know that you needed, like grinding the beans fresh, and blooming the grounds before brewing. Seriously, if you've never had coffee brewed with freshly ground and bloomed beans, you're missing out. And if you don't want to deal with grinding your own beans, you can use pre-ground coffee as well. With this machine, you have a choice of grinds, a choice of coffee strength, and you can also program it to start brewing at your convenience, so you can wake up to fresh coffee every morning. It will keep your coffee warm for up to 2 hours, or you can set it to turn off earlier, whatever you choose. It also comes with a re-useable filter, or you can use paper filters instead.     • Fresh coffee machine as never experienced.
So first of, this product came very well packaged and with everything you need to brew coffee... filter included, it includes a permanent filter, so you don't have to worry about getting more disposable ones. The programming feature is amazing, the grinder is not super noisy, of course it makes noise, but is not bad at all. My first setting was a medium coffee strength (comes with 3 levels: mild, medium and strong) with a full carafe (10 cups), and the grinder setting set at half way. The result: I will say that the grinder took about 6 tablespoons of the coffee beans (before grinding) in order to make it, and it came out ok, I think it needs to be a little bit stronger, so I dial down the grinder setting (more fine) a couple of steps, and now is perfect. I suggest you also start with something like that on the grinder, like half way and then choose your strength, and from there adjust the grinder to finer if you want it stronger, or coarser if you want it weaker. I just wish this was like 12 or 14 cups, but 10 cups does great for a small family. Highly recommended. ... show more
