  • Weird shoes, eh, boots, hmm, whatever they are, I like em!
Color: Soggy Brown Size: 13
These arrived extremely fast and I wasted no time in putting them on and getting to work. As a grumpy, old, retired goober, I tend to spend all day in my little shop working on any number of projects. From animatronics, to custom home trims and a variety of construction methods, ie, welding wood working, tons of electrical work, blacksmithing and even auto repair, being on a pension simply means you need a decent skill set to keep things moving and functioning. That mouthful being said, I'm no longer working in the field and sadly not hiking mountings or huffing rugged terrain. This doesn't mean I'm not exceptionally busy, in fact, just the opposite. Therein, I need good footwear. I tried wearing Sketchers but they're too soft and after a few months of use I find they become very easy to somewhat lose your footing as they're not very stable. At times, I'd take a step and my foot would somewhat slide sideways out of the Sketchers. Yeah, they're soft and nice to wear, but not stable enough to really work in. Plus when you're welding, they'll absolutely allow spatter to burn easily through. I also tried using a 6 to 8 inch tall leather work boot but taking them on and off when going in and out of the house became a real chore. I saw a plumbing video on YouTube where young plumber was teased about wearing slippers at work but when he described how easy they were to donn and doff when going in and out of houses, it just made perfect sense. So I decided to give these a try and I'm glad I did. The soles are quite wide and the wedge style sole is very soft and comfortable, but not unstable. They're stitched together quite well and after a few days, they're starting to break-in quite nicely. They are very easy to get on and off, which is perfect for many trips in and out of the house and in the shop, they're terrific on concrete and equally great while working in yard. As for welding, the rounded upper means any small bit of MIG spatter will simply roll off, wherein my moc-toe boots would literally capture the molten metal and leave burn marks on the boots. When new the boots are a bit difficult to get on, but a shoe horn takes care of this issue. I wear a US Men's size 13, D-width, and they fit perfectly. The toe box is fairly wide, so plenty of room for thick socks. If I was falling trees or working in a saw mill, I'd opt for taller boots with more ankle supports, but for me, these are absolutely terrific! Not a shoe, not a boot, somewhat of a hybrid creating that really fits the bill! Sadly they're not made in the USA, but with a price of approx. $80.00, I can at least be thankful it's a US based company and some US citizens are having dinner tonight because of this sale. I would absolutely recommend these boots and I'm sure if you have a need similar to myself, they'll be the perfect application. Oh, I noticed with the Sketchers I used to wear, when climbing ladders, my arch would really hurt at the end of the day as the shoes had no shank. The Romeo boots must have a pretty strong shank as they supported my 254 pounds, 6'7" size extremely well when climbing ladders all day. Give em' a try, I think you'll be really surprised at how practical these boots are. ... show more

  • Nice quality, comfortable
Color: Soggy Brown Size: 10.5 Wide
Bought these for days when I'm welding in my shop. But the fit is perfect for my wide feet. So I'm sure I will be wearing them on a daily basis. Quality is excellent.

  • Love these Romeos!
Color: Soggy Brown Size: 10
I buy these for my husband for work. They work the best and last the longest compared to other boots. The fit is true to size, great value for the money and has a really thick sole so he doesn’t wear them out so fast. We spray extra stuff on them to make them waterproof.

They are well made, the look good too. Reasonably comfortable after break in but not 5 star comfortable.

  • Quality boots
Color: Soggy Brown Size: 9.5
At first I was hesitant of ordering these boots the price is about half the price from other dealers I took a chance and bought them they are very comfortable out of the box however they are tight getting on and off I would recommend going a half size up I did add an insole to mine which is a very comfortable insole found on Amazon Endoto Timberland for $18.00 they are knockoffs but wear very well I was so impressed with both the boots and insoles as well as the price I ordered another pair of each ... show more

  • Wonderful, comfortable shoes
Color: Soggy Brown Size: 10.5 Wide
When I pulled these shoes out of the box, I was flabbergasted at how small the hole was to fit my feet in. With the help of my wife and a shoehorn I was able to get my feet in. While the shoes are still a little stiff and tight (I've been wearing them for a week now) they are starting to break in and are very comfortable. I expect high quality from Georgia Boot, and these shoes are as good as any other shoes/boots I've purchased from Georgia Boot. For about $70 these were an excellent value. *Update 1/2020 These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. 2 years of everyday wear and they are still in excellent shape. Quality construction. The breaking in of these shoes was rough, but well worth it. I will be buying another pair soon just to be sure when my current pair eventually wears out (not anytime soon) I will have another pair ready to go. ... show more
