The leather is no doubt two layers, perhaps something in the middle, but it's nonetheless thick and feels like it will last a long time. It's embossed with a reptile-scaly look, and it's highly polished without being too shiny (not like patent leather or a mirror shine). It could be polished further, but I think the level of gloss is already "just right," tasteful without being gaudy. Adjusting couldn't be simpler, and the markings on the inside help a lot. I'm used to buckles that have small screws to go into the leather, which are a bit of a pain, while this Ayamoti belt's buckle has a lot better mechanism for "grip."

I already have a black ratcheting belt, but I ordered this one because of the texture on both the belt and the buckle. It's a nice change of pace from the standard smooth leather belts that I usually wear. Easy to "install" the buckle, as this is not my first ratchet buckle, and the belt is able to be trimmed with some sturdy shears if it's too long. Very satisfied.

This is similar to other ratchet leather belts. You cut it to size and simply insert it back in. The thing I like most about this belt is the color. I don’t like black or brown belts during the summer and this goes great with jeans or khakis. Very durable material and nice looking buckle. I like it.

I really like this belt. It only took a bit to adjust the length. I popped the belt out of the buckle and cut off a few inches. Putting it back in was easy too. I really love that the buckle and the belt all stay flat. Old style belts with the hole would get a crease and look ugly after a while. This pink belt looks amazing! I'm using it with a Barbie outfit and it's terrific. Tres Chic!
