I installed this micro SD card in my Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 8 with ZERO problems. The card was immediately recognized (in the background) and no weird mounting / unmounting, i.e. formatting, was required. Yeah, it's a little pricey but I view this micro SD card as an additional investment in my use and enjoyment of the Note 8, just like a case, a screen protector, other accessories, and apps. Phone says SD card is corrupted every time it feels about halfway up. There are a lot of fake SD cards going around that are not the size they claim they are, this seems to be one of them.

    • A good card with medium-high transfer speeds

This is a good MicroSD card. It has high read/write speeds, and those speeds are pretty well maintained during longer transfers. Do be aware that many cameras, such as the GoPro Hero and the DJI Mavic Pro, don't really support cards with 256GB capacity out-of-the-box. They will require some formatting beforehand. If you are using this card in a camera such as those, I would recommend a card with a lower capacity, such as 32GB or 64GB, and just buy a few more of them. I was wondering why my card started getting corruption errors and failures only after a month. Please be aware of the cards that you buy and where they are made. The legit ones are made in the Philippines. The counterfeits are made in China and Korea. I had to use H2TestW to find out that this card did not have the capacity and had extremely slow write speeds of 7MB/s. The test revealed that the 256Gb card could only write up to 16 GB Do your self a favor and only buy from Samsung directly or better yet brick and mortar stores.
