i accidentally submitted my review for the Genteal Gel Drops without finishing it but if you read that, you'll see that I've had a long experience with adverse effects to other drops for dry eyes. Not GenTeals! I use this product right before I got to sleep. I had stopped using gels and ointments for Dry Eye Syndrome because they hurt so much and made it so hard to see in the morning. I have no problem with this Lubricating gel. It comes out of the tube like a thick eye drop. I have never awakened with blurry vision. These products are quite expensive but to me they are worth every cent because they are the first products that helped my dry eyes. I highly recommend them and I'd give them 10 stars if I could! ... show more

If your pooch has chronic dry eye, take note! This stuff is really good. Over the years, we have tried vet grade lubricant, prescription opthalmic solution, tacrolimus immunosuppressant drops and antibiotic drops. Each worked to varying degrees but ultimately had no staying power or side effects. Genteal is the real deal. We started with the Moderate solution, but in the dry, winter months, it wasn't enough for our guy. The Severe gel and ointment have worked wonders. We use gel in the morning and the ointment before bed. His eyes are bright as buttons. It has taken us 6-7 years of trial and error to get to this point. You should talk to your vet first, but if they approve, you may be very happy with the result. ... show more

I have severe dry eyes and I have been looking for substitute for Muro drops and ointment for months. I can't find Muro anywhere plus it is crazy expensive. I saw this GenTeal gel and decided to give it a try. First of all, it really doesn't seem like a gel. It is more like slightly thicker drops. I was expecting a much thicker product. There's no stinging when I insert this gel into my eyes like with Muro but I guess the stinging is to stimulant the tear ducts and make them produce tears. This gel leaves my eyes blurry for a few minutes then they feel refreshed and much less dry. The lubrication lasts about six hours, sometimes more. I use this gel during the day and I just ordered the ointment to use at night. I am hoping it is thick and will keep my eyes lubricated all night. If so, I may have found my Muro substitutes. This is definitely better than regular eye drops and I will continue buying it. ... show more
