I initially saw this dresser at my local Ashley Homestore. I really liked it but I thought I could find a better price online. I quickly found it on Amazon and placed my order. The shipping was super fast and it arrived in less than a week, but I was disappointed to discover that there was a medium-sized hole on the back. I planned to return it and exchange it for another but they were apparently out of stock. My boyfriend suggested that we go to our local building supply store and replace the particle board backing ourselves. I contacted Amazon customer service and told them about the damage and they issued a partial credit, which we used towards purchasing the particle board. The dresser itself is very nice for the price. It looks more expensive than it is thanks to the trim around the drawers, the angled feet, and the detailed knobs. With the exception of the particle board back (which is about ¼” thick), the rest of the dresser is REAL wood. The inside of the drawers are light colored wood which makes it easier to find things. The wood seems to be unfinished so I think you can stain it dark or add a clear vanish if you choose. The two top drawers are lined with a dark velvet-like material which is perfect for storing Jewelry or more delicate clothing. I wish furniture manufacturers would make more dressers like this but so often dressers are made of veneer or faux wood and cost a fortune. I would recommend this dresser. ... show more

    • Solid wood and sturdy construction
I would have given a 5 star review if some of the drawer hardware were not broken. However, Amazon promptly gave me a credit so that I could replace the broken parks. The dresser is well made and sturdy. Beautiful color! Now I just need the mirror which I thought was included but is not.

This dresser is very nice. It’s just a beautiful piece of furniture. It’s heavy, sturdy, and the drawer sizes are great! It’s is solid. It arrived early and was damaged on one of the corners. We bought it used here on Amazon so we knew it wasn’t going to be in perfect condition. My guess it it was damaged in the first delivery and was a return. The package when we received was AMAZING!!! That thing was packaged better than our cabinets were when delivered from the cabinet store. Great job Amazon. ... show more

The item itself looks solid but it came with knock on the top in 6 places, 2 corners. One drawer front is visibly damaged. Second damaged but not too visible. Back is cracked in several places. Usually, a manufacturer would send a replacement for damaged parts. It would boil down to the top board and one or both drawer fronts. Not a big deal to fix. I would go for it. I called manufacturer and it seem to have options only for items bought through their store or their website. So, I had no option other then to return. ... show more
