UPDATE: I have three of the 4L ones. I live in California. Why can't I purchase the 6L one? (Will not ship to CA) This is a godsend. After experiencing the usual allergies for years (they exist for me all year-round), they were exacerbated by other environmental conditions for a while. And I have never found a humidifier that I love ... until this one. I've tried at least 8 different brands of humidifier over the past 4 years. And this baby is the best. UPDATE: It does not appear to actually shut off when out of water. It just stops. I learned this after adding water and mist immediately started up again. Also, the cycling through settings (5 button pushes and it's off) is mystifying. IE, if I have it on the 2nd mist setting, I don't know when it's actually off until mist stops - that means if I want to set it on a medium mist, I need to push the button until the mist stops. That means it's off. Then, count the number of pushes to determine the mnist output. Minor problems both - since this humidifier works so well, humidifies a large room (600 sq ft) within an hour, mist output always consistent, the lights are truly unobtrusive. I'm purchasing a second one for the bedroom. --Not too big, and does not empty too quickly - even on the highest output. --The settings are true to the amount of mist (and quick to bring humidity up in a 500sq ft room --100% quiet operation (never a gurgle, or hiccup from top to bottom tank water movement) --We have great water here on the west side of Los Angeles, so never any white dust. --No moisture underneath the unit or on the floor. --No leaking. --And this was running it for over 48 hours nonstop. I've used it for a week. It's very dry in socal - especially on the hot days (this week, it's been in the solid 80s. Humidity is consistently between 48-60. I had to turn it off one day because the humidity was staying solid at 58. I cannot say enough good about it. I love the black color. It is less obtrusive than white (which I've always had in the past). And cleaning will be a snap. I haven't used the essential oils tray. I have had other humidifiers with this feature (and a small sponge / tray) and have found that it doesn't work - or, rather when it does, it's only about 2 minutes. (Frankly, for essential oils, I have two units specifically designed for that. Much better than trying to combine it into a humidifier) I really don't understand the complaints here about the blue light. The first few days, I used it in my bedroom (300sq ft) And I need pitch dark to sleep. Pressing the button for 3 seconds turns the blue light off. And the button light turns off completely after a few minutes. Even not turning the blue light off - I really needed to strain to see it across the room. It's a deep deep violet that does not illuminate the strip fully. It's a hint of color, really. Besides, I use a blindfold - or face they call it, too. Best invention for pitch dark sleeping, ever! I purchased another brand at the same time for another room. That was a disaster! Didn't even work well in the first 8 hours of use! (sputtered, no consistent stream... etc) Will be returning that one. I'm saving up $$ to get two more of these units. Not only do my sinuses (and skin!) love the moisture - but my plants are thanking me, too. ;-] ... show more

I gave this little, powerful, quiet humidifier, (night light) to my sister for her telework days and she loves it so much she convinced me to buy one also. We both like how easy and fast it is to fill in a sink, one fill lasts all night for me and longer and that it relieves dry, indoor air-related symptoms directly where I am-right next to the bed and right on her desk. I have a big, room-size humidifier, but its a chore to fill in the bath tub, is noisy and takes a long while to make a big difference. ... show more

Bought this to take on trip that required multiple hotel stays. It worked perfect to keep that dry hotel a/c air from drying out my nose a skin. It was easy to use and easy to clean. There was no noise and it woul dlast through the night. Perfect size for traveling.

This little steamer was perfect for the nightstand at a hotel. It is small and did not take up much space in the suitcase or nightstand. This was easy to fill, and the full cartridge lasted all night long. I also really liked the auto-shutoff when the reservoir is empty. A friend was raving how much she loved her new Geniani humidifier so I had to jump on this wagon and get one for my own. I noticed after using it only one night with it running a couple feet away from my bed, that I woke up feeling more refreshed and had a deeper sleep. Without humidifiers I often wake up with a very dry throat, due to some snoring and the dry air in my room from a heater running. But not the first morning after having the Geniani running on intermittent mode (I like how there's a sleeping function to turn off the power light) - I believe the air was so much more moist that my throat was taken care of during the night. This Geniani machine has so many incredible features that I could write several paragraphs on it. So I'm going to list the essential pros that I personally enjoy the most: - It's QUIET - I don't hear any motor noises unlike other competitors' ones. - During hotter days, the cool gentle mist feels amazing and cooling when it falls onto my skin and wafts past my face and head. I don't have air conditioning in my apartment, so when summer arrives and the heat swelters outside and my room becomes stuffy, I can't wait to have this machine near my chair when I'm chilling or watching movies and experience its cool down effects. - Sooo Easy to refill. I use distilled or ultra filtered water and you just pour new water into the top refill opening (even while it's still running). Or I can easily just lift the top off and add water there. Older and other models I have used in the past have been very messy with water splashing everywhere when trying to carry the basin to the sink and back to the base. The Geniani is very well-thought out and I can tell the inventor has put great care in its production. - The air in my room feels much more clean and my lungs feel healthier. - I practice hot yoga and now with shelter in place orders due to COVID-19, I have no studio to go to and have to practice in my room on Zoom. This humidifier has helped me create an atmosphere similar to my hot and humid Bikram yoga studio. I simply crank up the heater in my room and put the Geniani next to my yoga mat and it feels like I am in a virtual humid yoga room again - and when I'm laying down in savasana at the end of class and looking up at the Geniani perched on my barstool above my head, I see the glorious cooling mist, ever so gently gliding down onto my face...like a slow motion waterfall...wispy cooling clouds, helping me relax and I smile knowing I have truly invested in a great product.
