Description

General Hydroponics® pH Up is a base solution formulated with potassium hydroxide and potassium carbonate to raise pH to the proper level. pH control is essential for vigorous plant growth. Nutrient solution pH that is too high (basic), or too low (acidic), cannot be properly absorbed by plant roots. Incorrect nutrient solution pH can cause slow growth, sickly plants, and low yields. Our formulas are pH buffered to help growers maintain the optimal pH range. We recommend using pH Up sparingly. Add to your nutrient solution a little at a time, then test the pH. Repeat application, then test, until desired pH is achieved. The quantity necessary for pH adjustment will vary depending on the strength of the nutrient and the purity of the water used to mix the nutrient. The recommended pH for most plants is 5.5 to 6.5. Use General Hydroponics® pH Test Indicator (sold seperately) for testing nutrient pH.

I live in upstate New York and I have some of the hardest water and even through my filter I just noticed that using this product helps all of my house plants live better. When just using regular Tap water I noticed that it was making all of my house plants turn yellow and wilt I take a gallon of water and a few drops of this stuff and really has made all of my house plants better including my Christmas cactus. Just remember to read the directions always be careful when handling and just make sure you wash your hands once you get used to using it. It’ll be OK but always keep in the back of your mind to be careful even with letting drops fall on the floor if you have animals at home, I always make sure to do my water measuring in the sink so not to ever harm my dogs, I love this product. This product works well for reducing ph in water. Store it upright in a cool location or if the sun. We've never had problems with it leaking, but the solution doesn't pour nicely.
