I grow Aeroponically and order a lot of hydroponic supplies. These Cubes are the same as all from China with 3/4" cubes. While the Rockwool does not have to fill the net-pot it would be nice if they came in 1" circles to assist in planting.

Something is strange about these particular cubes. Ive used rockwool for YEARS. Did 15 clones in these. Every. Single. One. Died. Yellow meristem. 0 root development. Used 8ppm water, diluted to 65 with an application of the general purpose fertilizer I use. I adjusted the pH of the water to 5.6. The clones were kept in a humidity dome under 200 ppfd white led lights, (yes I measured it). I do this method with 95% success rate ALL THE TIME. All the clones were given some clonex. Got NOTHING. EVERY SINGLE ONE DIED. Something is wrong with this rockwool. IDK whats in it, but theres something in it. UPDATE: the clones came around at a 90% survival rate, but the pH of the water KEPT SPIKING UP. Had to use more reagents than I would like, or soak them longer than I would like. Very dusty, first rockwool Ive worked with where I felt inclined to wear a mask and gloves. Felt like insulation. Barely usable.

Bought these because they were cheaper, and will not buy again. Seedlings take much too long to grow in these blocks. When they do grow, they are weak and spindly and very few of them grow in an upright fashion. I think these blocks are too dense compared to the other brand I used. As others have said, they create a lot of dust when you handle them and they feel a little like fiberglass. There is the main block, which sits upon a wider base made of the same material. This base is tenuous and can easily separate from the main block while handling. The seedlings shown have been growing for weeks now, and there is no sign of roots. Plus the main stems are thin. I have used a quarter of the box over the last months, and given these a fair shot, but it’s a no go.
