For the other reviews complaining about it they obviously have never set up a generator before to use the auto option you must run the full proper break in cycle with full load on it before auto will work. Instructions are easy to follow, wiring isn't that complicated, works great no issues. Yes it comes set up for natural gas but comes with lp conversion kit and takes 2 mins to convert over to lp no it will not run on gasoline, there is no gas tank duh.     • Less power at higher elevation not revealed up front
We bought this generator thinking it was enough power but then after we ordered it and set it all up, we found out deep in the instructions manual that if you are at a higher elevation it operates at less power and you have to calculate it accordingly inwhich left us not being able to use our generator and we can't seem to sell it locally online even at a discounted rate. By the time we set it up it was just past the expiration of being able to return it. We are really frustrated and not sure what to do. We would buy the correct one that we need, but we can't afford two. ... show more

Installed called Generac gave me the code to unlock the unit. would not start, called customer service Did what they told me to do, still did not start. They gave me some service numbers. But said it might not be covered. I made the statement why? it' new and it never ran. So now I'm waiting for Oct 8 for a local tech to show up. ... show more

    • Poor build quality and customer service.
We purchased ours through a wholesaler. We got it set and ready to start up and then started having issues. I registered online and got the code to unlock the “auto start” mode, but the code wouldn’t take. I called customer service and the guy was absolutely useless. I kept trying and finally got it to work on my own. This unit has many cheaply made clips and wires. I’ve had four parts break in less than a year. I gave customer service another chance and called to make sure I was picking out the right part and she just sent me the manual. So I looked it up and then ordered from a third party. Overall, I’ve been very disappointed in the build quality and the customer service of generac. Would not buy one again. Only reason I gave two stars instead of one, is that when it is running, it does run like it should and generates the specified amount of power. ... show more
