The belt is great, but it’s a little thin. Yes it makes it easier to put through the belt loops, but because if it being thin, the belt falls out of the first loop when unbuckle to use the restroom. Also, one of the 2 release buttons sticks. I have to press it hard to get it to let go when un-buckeling the belt.

Note, I’m reviewing this in the dark ebony tone in the size for waist 35-38” belt length 45” This is a good value for a very good quality belt that’s highly adjustable, very slightly elastic, sits close to the body with the buckle and fits standard belt loops. The fit, quality and comfort are good. It looks as nice in person and worn with outfits as it does in the pictures. It’s a simple, classic style that goes well with everything. It’s going to be good for daily use, work and is dressy and nice enough for going out (but not quite formal or office dress). You’ll want to refer to the listing charts to select the right size. I wouldn’t size up with this one. For the size I thought it looked a little large and long in length until it was adjusted. However, once it’s adjusted it evens out and is a good fit. But you won’t want to size up with this belt or you’ll have a lot more length than you need, it’s already on the longer length for the size. However, I don’t think I’d size down, as you may end up too short and small. It describes it as an elastic belt, it sort of is and it sort of isn’t. If you’re looking for a belt that’s very obviously stretchy and elastic, this one isn’t. To look at it and feel it, and pull on it, I even at first questioned if it was elastic at all, it’s more solid and structured with very little pull or elastic. However, when I pointed this out to my husband he pulled on it and showed me that it is a little bit elastic. He liked how it was just a bit elastic but not overly elastic. It’s elastic enough to give some pull, support and stretch, but it’s minimal and it’s overall going to feel and look like a less or non elastic belt vs an obviously elastic belt. It’s not going to pinch and compress the waist like a fully elastic belt, it’s just elastic enough to have a slight bit of give to it. It’s almost a bit like a non stretch luggage strap but nicer and in a belt format and better material with a hint of elastic. When you get it you do have to assemble one side of the belt to the buckle. No instructions were included to do this. My husband was able to easily do this and having adjusted belts before he felt it was obvious and easy to do. I’m not as used to this, so I’m not sure if I would have been able to figure it out on my own. So if you’re not comfortable assembling one side into the belt buckle and adjusting the fit and length that way, it may not be one you’ll be comfortable with. The buckle is sturdy and well made as is the belt, both are very high quality. The buckle is easy to open and close if you’re familiar with this style. My husband thought it was easy to use and he’s fairly picky about belts in style, comfort and closure and he liked everything about this belt, and that’s rare for him. He also noted to me that the fit was slim against the waist and body and the belt nor the buckle stuck out very far. He noted that for working or some applications this was going to be a lot better, potentially safer than a belt that sticks out further. He felt that compared to his standard leather belts this was a closer fit to the body and he thought looked nicer. He also noted that it fit standard pants and shorts loops well, he did note that narrower loops it was a bit small for, but most pants that most belts fit it worked well. But on pants and shorts with slimmer, narrower belt loops that other belts in a standard or wider with were difficult to fit, this one was too. It’s not a super wide, but standard but not narrow width.

As others have mentioned you have to weave one end of the belt through the buckle and it can be a bit difficult as the belt is stiff. The belt itself has some stretch to it and does not need to be adjusted often as it does a good job of staying exactly how you set it up. It reminds me of an X-men belt, if that’s the look you are going for. The buckle appears to be made of some type of metal. The buttons/latch do tend to stick sometimes and are not as smooth as I would like/expect. It is definitely more difficult to put on compared to a typical belt as you have to feed (half of) the buckle through the belt loops on your pants. If I were in the market for a new belt, I don't think I would order this belt again, to me it seems like more of a novelty. Thank you for reading my review, I hope it was helpful!
