First day, first impression, so far, so good. This computer is screaming fast, snappy, almost silent and works great. The hardware seems very solid. This computer is small but unexpectedly heavy for its size. It fired up and works exactly as expected out of the box. Loaded with input and output ports. Wifi, Bluetooth and HDMI all function perfectly. However... Microsoft sucks! Windows 11 is a complete failure. Its a waste of storage space, designed for profit, advertising, data theft and not at all designed for productivity or functionality. I will be wiping Windows 11 ASAP and running Ubuntu instead. I would love a Linux native OS provided with this computer, or even blank, without an OS. Sending this computer out with Windows 11 is my only complaint and that's fairly easy to fix, so no stars deducted for that. Overall, so far it seems like a great value for such a powerful computer in a very small package. 2 week update- still awesome. Runs cool even at max performance settings, smooth, fast and quiet, fast boot up. OS comparison- Win11 uses about 25% CPU, over 4GB of RAM, 1gb of swap and constant internet traffic of several hundred Mb per second at idle with no programs running. Ubuntu25 uses about 1% of CPU, less than 2 GB of RAM, 100MB of swap and no internet traffic under the same idle conditions. All features are fully supported by Ubuntu.

Purchased the AX8 Max from Geekom, thru Amazon, as a replacement for a desktop pc that I could not upgrade to Win 11. After researching the usual PC desktop brands, I stumbled upon Mini PC platforms. Given the form and function of these units, I decided to go the Mini PC direction. So far, I do not regret my purchase decision. This unit was delivered in a rugged box that protected the AX8 Max in a dense foam package which also included a manual, cables and a mounting plate with hardware for the back of a monitor. Wow... I was thoroughly impressed! I hooked up the unit to only my monitor, keyboard and mouse to boot for the first time. The AX8 is very quiet and I had to check to see if it was actually working. Boot time was instantaneous. After seeking the Geekom icon on the screen the unit went into the Microsoft Windows 11 Pro installation mode. There you must go thru the initial set up of Windows 11 pro which includes discovering your wifi network. No issues at all connecting to my network and downloading all the Windows 11 Pro updates. Give yourself about 1 hour for the typical Microsoft Windows first time setup. Another plus for purchasing this unit from Geekom was that it was not loaded with bloatware from third party software venders. Just shipped with Windows 11 Pro. As far as use case for the AX8 Max, it easily handles Adobe creative design software and motion graphics along with the typical office applications without any lag or buffering. I am not a gamer, but seeing that the VRAM is set a 8GBs and can be increased to 16GBs in the BIOS, I would say that this unit can handle AAA casual games. The AX8 Max does have the ability to accept a dedicated GPU externally thru one of the many ports described in the enclosed manual. (More info is included on their website for those wanting to deep dive on the specs) I did have a couple questions, which I used the "ask product question' feature within my Amazon account under orders. Geekom customer service responded within 24 hours to both questions along with a follow-up to see if I was satisfied with the response. This definitely gave me a good feeling about my purchase and the ability for Geekom to honor their warranty period. In closing, here are the positives in purchasing the AX8 Max: Case is sturdy aluminum, numerous connection ports for external peripherals, Win 11 Pro with no bloatware or ads, fast processor and memory, compatible with most third party software such a Adobe, quiet and cool operation, mounting capabilities off the desk and onto the back of a monitor/display, warranty, customer service and the price point. If you have a PC that cannot be upgraded to Windows 11 from Windows 10, I would urge you to consider this model.

This is a very good mini computer. The power and performance are more than sufficient to run Windows 11 and to stream TV and movies. We bought it to serve as our living room media and TV web browsing PC and could not be happier with it. We've got it inside a media cabinet but it does not overheat or have problematic heat buildup. It is also basically silent. If you get right up to it, you can hear its fan but not in a setting where you are any more than few feet away. This was perfect for our living room PC for that reason. The small size was also a big benefit. It replaced a desktop that I'd built with specialized "quiet" parts and a sound deadening case. That worked fine, but this doesn't need any of that because it is so quiet right out of the box. Before buying this, we also shopped the various specialty "silent pc" manufacturers and builders out there. This was easily half the cost of similar machines from those custom brands. It was very easy to set up and all aspects of it (HSMI output, wired input, wireless networking) all worked just fine. The only change we made to it was to stick a light reducing sticker on the front power indicator because we don't need a constant light shining in the dark living room when streaming TV. Very happy with the purchase.

This little system gets the job done. I use it primarily for gaming in the living room by way of Steam streaming from my office computer and it works perfectly. It's also great for typing up documents, listening to music, etc. There are a few things to keep in mind, though. If you want to enable HDR, you may need to buy a new hdmi cable. For me, the included cable only allowed me to set up my TV color as 8-bit. Once I replaced the cable I was able to enable 10 and 12 bit HDR. If you intend to use this system in the living room, you will likely want to use a wireless keyboard and mouse. For me, the keyboard seemed to work well, but when I plugged in the mouse dongle and paired it, the mouse would skip all over the screen--especially under load. It seems some of the USB-A ports are underpowered. I added a powered USB hub which I connected to a rear USB-C port and that resolved the issue. Regardless of those few minor hiccups, my overall experience was positive, and the product is well worth the money.

I’m obsessed with this pink PC! Not only does it look absolutely stunning, but the performance is amazing too. It runs all of my games smoothly with fast loading times and zero lag, even when I’m multitasking or streaming. The RGB lighting mixed with the pink case gives my setup the perfect aesthetic vibe. The build quality feels premium, and it stays surprisingly quiet even during long gaming sessions. Setup was quick and easy, and everything worked perfectly right out of the box. I’ve already gotten so many compliments on it. If you want a gaming PC that’s both powerful and cute, this one is 100% worth it!

This purchase was an easy experience for me. I had been looking to upgrade my desktop computer, but motherboard, CPU, and RAM prices made it difficult to spend the money. I had been reading a lot of reviews of AMD's RYZEN series of processors, and that was what I wanted. I began to look at the mini computers and found one I really liked and ordered it. The PC arrived the very next day and was a little more than 1/2 the price I was expecting to pay for a PC upgrade. That same weekend, I unpackaged it and set it up. The PC case was very sturdy aluminum and had sufficient cooling from what I could see. I got it connected and started it up. I could not believe the size of this thing! It was very compact and looked nice. After I got through setting up Windows 11, it was time to play. I looked at the storage capacity of the computer and liked that it had a fast, late generation SSD of 1TB capacity. Nice! Now to connect to my network. At first, it was WiFi, and that was very fast fast. I ultimately set it up via Ethernet, which was the plan anyway (I'm a home network security nut). I opened one of the games I play called Xonotic. It is a free FPS, but has network connectivity. I joined one of the clans and tore up some enemies! My network speed was fast, and one of the things I have enabled on my "HUD" is the frame rate. The Radeon 780X mobile GPU gave me persistently higher frame rates than I was used to with my nVidia GPU. BONUS! Overall, my experience with this Geekom mini PC (AX8 Max) has been great, and I am looking forward to a few years of great productivity and gaming.

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NOT A PRIORITY! I WOULD BE SATISFIED WITH THE PRODUCT IF IT WORKED. Subject: URGENT: Unacceptable Response and Unresolved Defective Product - Order/Serial # [Insert Serial Number] To the Ruby Global Customer Service Management Team, I am writing to express my profound disappointment and growing frustration regarding the handling of my case for my failed Geekom mini PC. During our phone conversation, we spent considerable time going through your entire troubleshooting process. Because the device showed absolutely no response to any of these attempts, I was explicitly assured two things: that my case would be escalated to an expert to determine next steps, and that I would receive an email guiding me toward a concrete remedy. I made it unequivocally clear that this computer is the backbone of my daily workflow. My business and work have completely halted without a functional computer. The situation is critical, and every day of delay causes further disruption. To say I am disappointed by the email response I received is a severe understatement—it is an insult. Instead of providing the promised solution or expert escalation, your team sent me instructions to repeat the exact same troubleshooting steps we already completed together on the phone. This is a unacceptable waste of time for a customer facing a critical workflow stoppage. I have taken the following actions to eliminate any further excuses for delay: Attached Video Evidence: I have attached a video clearly demonstrating that the product is completely non-functional. Provided Serial Numbers: The requested serial numbers are included below and visible in the video. Because my previous outreach was met with a generic, repetitive loop, I am copying Amazon Prime Customer Service on this communication to log this severe failure in support. I require an immediate, definitive resolution. If a replacement or a concrete, expedited remedy cannot be initiated within the next 24 hours, I demand an immediate and full refund. I can honestly say this is the worst customer experience I have ever encountered with a defective product. I expect a prompt response from a supervisor or an expert who can actually resolve this today.

This mini PC has everything I needed. Portability, and power. Currently, I am living in California, but before that I was living in China for many years. In the next few months, I’ll be in Vietnam for a while before returning back to China. Carrying an entire rig around with me is a bit unrealistic, and while a laptop is portable, the power I’d need would be ridiculous. They just aren’t good for gaming( dedicated gaming laptops included). The GEEKOM AX8 is different. This thing can easily handle everything I need for work, but where it really shines for me is that it allows me to game. This isn’t going to be the most powerful gaming device of course, but for me it is perfect. I was able to play SW Battlefront 2 all on medium settings at a locked 60fps. That is seriously impressive for an all-in-one device that could literally fit in my jacket pocket. Persona 3 reload, Oblivion Remastered, and a bunch of other RPGs worked incredibly well. You have plenty of usb ports, additional USB-C, internal fan is not loud whatsoever, power consumption is absolutely locked down, and the WiFi connection on this thing beats my 2019 Huawei mate book, easily. I was in dire need of an upgrade and this was it! I’m honestly so happy I got this, my only regret was not waiting another week for another paycheck to get the stronger version. Go into this knowing what you want. This is not going to be a monster rig that will handle every game on ultra settings. But it is a surprisingly powerful device that fits in the palm of your hand, and will meet most of your needs. If you want a little extra GPU, you can get an external one (that’s my plan) to really get this baby going. No more lugging around a stupid laptop that can’t even handle what I want. Wireless mouse and keyboard is all I need. I’ve already taken it to a hotel, connect it to the TV, and was able to bring all my work, and games, with me. Insane work, GEEKOM. You genuinely have earned a loyal customer. It is a fantastic device, I’ve already put so many hours into it, and has been an absolute game changer for me. The world of Mini-PCs truly excites me.
