In these days of planned obsolescence, sometimes going the inexpensive route pays off. We have gone through innumerable single cup coffeemakers over the years and have learned that the simpler they are, the better. After having to junk several high end ones after a year or two of usage (yes! Of course we descaled right on schedule—besides using filtered water) we’ve finally settled on this name brand Frigidaire. It’s only been 2 weeks so can’t vouch for the longevity BUT at this price point it won’t matter. What does matter is that it’s quick and efficient. We can use pods or grounds, too. This little coffeemaker is just the ticket. It has a few less whistles and bells than the expensive ones but does the job. It is small enough to fit in a tiny space, makes a single cup of drink with fresh cold water and can be used with pods or with included adapter for regular ground coffee. If you NEED a maker with a reservoir or with a heat pad to keep drinks warm you will be unhappy. and you might want to be aware that the lid has one easy open latch for both the water and the pod. It does shut off automaticlly. It does NOT have a spill-over catcher but once you learn the water level, it's not a problem. The size and price sell this machine and its operation will make it a favorite tool. ... show more

I did not keep this because it is so small it only accommodates the tiniest of coffee mugs. There was no way to have a travel mug filled without creating a huge mess. The max was 8oz but actually produced closer to 6. Very disappointed with how small it was.
