This is a well made tool and I have used it on several projects around the house. I've been pleased with the way it works. I recommend it.

  • More than worth it.
Size: 1/2" Drive Style: 25 - 250 Ft/Lbs Pattern Name: Electronic
It’s well worth more than the $200 price tag just for the angle and flex head features. I purchased the 1/2 model, and it’s long, but not awkward. It lets you reset while still retaining the current angle, it’s perfect for inside engine bays that will not would allow you to get one pull of 90 degrees, or so. You can do multiple pulls, and it adds then saves them even when hitting the bolt from different angles. I scribed all my bolts, and purposely put this tool in awkward situations. All my bolts are dead on at a final pass of 70 degrees. Has a ton of alerts and a very accurate LCD to let you know where the degree is. Handle vibrates, the screen flashes, and the buzzer is very noticeable. Compared to my snap on, this is light years ahead. Also I bought the non-flex head model, while it wasn’t bad, I could never recommend it when this is only $50 more. That doesn’t do angles. ... show more

  • Nice and shiny
Size: 1/2" Drive Style: 25 - 250 Ft/Lbs Pattern Name: Electronic
Its got a nice feel, seems accurate. But the description made it seem like the handle telescopes. It does not. And you have to hold the power button excessively long. When doing angles, the reset is very slow unless you hit clear between readings. Fast resetting when doing torque. lots of options on different units of torque. I wish it went a little lower and higher, but then just gotta break out the 3/4 or 3/8 torque wrench. Not quite as good as snap on but a lot cheaper ... show more

  • Constantly crashes during torque readings
Size: 1/2" Drive Style: 25 - 250 Ft/Lbs Pattern Name: Electronic
This thing is the worst torque wrench I’ve ever used. After setting the desired peak torque value, I always have issues with the electronics crashing. In essence, if I tighten until the notification and move to the next measurement or attempt to clear the current measurement (e.g. when tightening lug nuts), the electronics will randomly crash. This is bizarre because this is the expected use-case… When this happens, the power button does nothing and I have to unscrew and re-screw the battery cap to get it to turn on again. The only way I’ve found to avoid this issue is to wait ~10s between measurements. That is just crazy because it slows down what is normally a mindless and instantaneous process with every other torque wrench I’ve used. Because of this crashing issue, I don’t even bother using this piece of junk anymore. A normal 2 minute task easily turns into 10+ minutes of fighting with the torque wrench electronics when they decide to act up. Not to mention that Gearwrench does not stand behind this product considering they only provide a 1yr warranty. I didn’t realize this until the return period passed and I started seeing the issues I mentioned. I watched many videos, followed the directions, and attempted to troubleshoot via forums and nothing I’ve done has resolved the problem. At this point, I’m very confident that this is not user error. Gearwrench simply released an awesome torque wrench with electronics that are a buggy and unusable mess. I loved this thing until those reset issues, what a shame. Trust me, do NOT purchase this product! ... show more

  • It works/ but it’s different!
Size: 1/2" Drive Style: 25 - 250 Ft/Lbs Pattern Name: Electronic
There are a lot of complaints about this tool, is accurate, yes. Most of the complaints that I have seen is user error. First of all, if you are a person that is used to the click style torque bar, you will struggle in the beginning like I did ,just like anything new. You will have to get use to timing the sound/vibration vs the click. It has 2 different vibrations/ sounds , one lets you know you are with in tolerance range( whatever you set the percentage at) the second round of beeps/ vibrates is when you hit your target ( note when it signals you that you have hit your target, you actually 2-5%from your target, this’ keeps you from going over) take a look at the screen & finish the last remaining % , then hit the clear button & go to the next bolt. If you want accuracy this is your tool, if you like speed the click style is for you I’m pretty fast with both, I had to practice. Whether you go click vs digital, they are both two different type of tools. ... show more

Size: 1/2" Drive Style: 25 - 250 Ft/Lbs Pattern Name: Electronic
Bought it to ensure our tires were tightened to the appropriate twerk given that sometimes they don’t always do that when they should. This is an added piece of mind to make sure my family is taken care of definitely would buy the product again it does serve its purpose and so far is upheld issues.

  • No defined alert to let u know u hit ur target torque
Size: 1/2" Drive Style: 25 - 250 Ft/Lbs Pattern Name: Electronic
Owed about a year. Seems to be solid build and good quality. But I wouldn't buy it again and may be looking for something else to add to the arsenal. It has the ability to dial in ur torque plus adding angle or degree as well. It's all fine and dandy if u can see the screen. When working off ur back and in awkward positions where u can't see the screen it's less than desirable. The lowest I can set the notification is within 20 percent of target torque. Thing start vibrating and flashing colors and vibrates a little more as u get closer to your target but so easy to over torque if u can't see the see the screen. It would be better if it had a defined beep when u hit the target torque when in situation where u can't see the screen. Which maybe it's just too nice of torque wrench for situations I use it for like in a wheel well and the screen is complete 180 from what I'm trying to torque. One other annoyances is the setting the torque being by tenths. U hold the button down and I over shoot by a couple lbs then end up pushing the button 20 times to drop or gain 2lbs. I think it's accurate and if your using it in situations where u can always seen the screen it's great. For an all around 1/2 inch for a backyard mechanic like myself it's been more of a hassel then not. If it had a defined alert when u hit ur target torque it would be much better in my opinion. ... show more
