  • Excellent Quality
These ratchets work great. The only thing to be aware of, is they are longer than say standard rachets. The 3/8 and 1/4 are ok, but the 1/2 in long. Good thing the head can swivel. Other than that, they work great. Get the standard length ones if you don't need anything longer.

  • Locking mechanism failure
The 3/8th ratchet did not last. The locking mechanism failed on first use. I'm very disappointed, specially since project farm on YouTube spoke highly of gearwrench. Update: I probably missused the 3/8 ratchet to do a 1/2 ratchet job. Got new ones sent out will update when it breaks.

  • Lots of degrees
Very nice mid price tools. They have been excellent so far. Really like the small swing ark and the flex heads.

  • My new favorite!
I ordered a set of these and also purchased a set of HF ICON gen 2 ratchets at the same time. After I received these and compared both, I returned the ICON ratchets. The ultra smooth 120 tooth design and the SMALL HEAD SIZE are the best features of these ratchets. These have a ball detent that stops the rotating head in the preset 9 locking positions so you just press the button to lock it. It also rotates past the first and last locking positions to achieve the full 180 degrees of rotation. I like the push button locking mechanism better than the lever style. You may or may not have to tighten the hex screw on the head to stiffen up the swivel. The GW has more effective "teeth" by using two pawls on a 60 tooth head yielding 120 positions. While these GW have the smallest head size of all, they have a larger diameter handle and hinge mechanism. My only gripe is GW moved the socket detent ball a little closer to the end of the anvil which causes some sockets to hang a little loose when not seated fully. ... show more

  • Not to happy
After about 5 months of use the 3/8 ratchet brocke i take care of my tools. I took it apart, and there's a piece inside that came off. It doesn't look like it was part of it, but it's a round little piece that was just floating around in there. I tried putting that piece back in place and it worked for about a week. And then it broke again, this thing is we designed ... show more
