  • Attractive, perfect fit.
Style: TYC
This TYC is one of the nicer budget replacement headlamps for the 99 Camry. 5 stars for what you get for the price. It is the headlamp assembly, both mounting brackets, rubber boot and a new bulb. Easy installation if you completely remove the old Toyota hardware and just use the supplied attached mounts. Trying to force this headlamp assembly to fit into the old hardware would probably break it. Several good YouTube videos to guide you if you have never done it before. The passenger headlamp is the easier of the two. As you guide the new lamp into place, angle it up about 30 degrees until you get the rubber strip on the bottom of the lamp behind the bumper. Paying close attention to anything that is binding or slowing you down. Forcing it will break it. On the drivers side I had to turn the alignment screws in some to shorten the depth of the assembly to be able to get it in with out forcing something. The rubber strip was a bit harder to get behind the bumper. Nice pattern and range with the new lights. A dramatic improvement actually. Similar to new, although even new the Camrys headlamps were only fair at best. The single bulb design of the 97,98 and 99 Camry had pretty lame low beams. They went back to a two bulb design in 2000. There are some very faint shadows up close with the high beams, (excellent distance though). The low beams flood the road with solid light and have a fairly sharp cutoff. Great visibility in good conditions. Low beams are still problematic in the rain with those difficult to spot unpainted 5” high concrete traffic islands and curbs. I used a 20’ distance and followed the alignment protocol exactly, with the drivers low beam set slightly lower than the passenger side. Clean, easy alignment. Nice to be able to see again. Other drivers now flash me if I forget to switch my high beams off. ... show more

  • High Quality Exact OEM Replacement!
Style: TYC
I ordered a pair (Driver & Passenger side) of these to replace the original housings on my 1998 Camry XLE. They are an exact fit compared to the originals and are as clear as can be. Create a sharp European look to the beam and are simple to install. This is a link to a video that walks you through the replacement process: [...] Good Luck! Highly Recommended! ... show more

  • Sharp and Bright!
Style: TYC
I struggled as to whether or not I should take a star away because it came with part of the mounting mechanism broken. This was mentioned by other customers before me. However, the mechanic stated that he could easily use the mounting bracket from the old light. This would eliminate additional time and hassle shipping back and forth etc. That is what he did. Works perfectly. The new light adds a little class to the car and looks just like you see it online. Buy it! ... show more

  • Great lights, but....
Style: TYC
It's nice that these lights are cheap. They fit perfectly with my vehicle. However, after a couple of months using it, I have noticed that the lights started to get darker.... This could only be me or maybe some other people have the same issue. Overall the thing works and is great.

  • TYC Toyota Camry Headlight
Style: TYC
Camrys are known for having pretty bad headlights, and driving our Camry you sometimes felt like there were a couple of votive candles in the headlight housings. I had already tried a polishing kit and upgraded bulbs, but the lighting was still terrible. I called my local Toyota dealer to see how much new housings would cost and was told $200. Each! After I finished laughing I went to eBay and bought some Eagle Eyes. I normally stick to OEM, but there was no way I was paying $400. Normally I do a lot of research before making a purchase, but I got ahead of myself this time. The Eagle Eyes didn't cut it. So they went back and I tried Amazon. They had TYC housings for not much more than the Eagle Eyes, and the quality is much better. Installation was straightforward. I bought some even higher quality bulbs (but not the stupid blue ones to make people think you have HIDs) and the results are pretty impressive. The lighting still isn't as good as it is on a much newer vehicle, but we can see in the rain now. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • Great replacement
Style: TYC
It light was a great replacement for the original lens unit that became cloudy. This unit fit perfectly and was easy to swap out. It is so much brighter then the original light. It even came with bulbs.

  • Excellent
Style: TYC
I purchased both the left and right side headlights. They are a perfect fit. There are clamps that you must undo in order to get the existing lights out. The best way to do this is to go under the car, take down the plastic piece, and there will be a bolt that must be taken out. This way you will not inadvertently break the clip that so many people have done. ... show more
