Description

This repair kit is ideal for minor surface repairs of Gel-coat, fiberglass, acrylic and porcelain fixtures in kitchens, bathrooms as well as surf boards and laminate countertops. The kit includes Gel-Coat putty, hardener, applicator stick, 400 grit sandpaper, 600 grit sandpaper, polishing compound and alcohol wipe. Working time is about 15-20 minutes. When mixed correctly the surface hardens in 1-3 hours. This kit will cover approximately 18 square inches (1.5 sq. ft.).

The product worked just as described. I was able to give my old chipped fiberglass shower a facelift . I'm not great with the sanding process, so someone with more skill would have a nicer looking finished product, but I'm satisfied with the results. The color was a little darker than my surface, so I dabbed a bit of enamel nail polish over it to help with that, and it is a nice solution. A little messy to work with but it does cover small holes in fiberglass tubs so water can’t seep into them. Takes awhile to dry and should be sanded smoothly after dry time. Follow the directions! Would recommend for small (no bigger than 2”) cracks or holes

    • Half the jar is WAY too much!!
The product is easy to mix and apply - good ventilation is a must! Hardens really fast, and gets HARD. 400 grit sandpaper will have you work up a sweat and take lots of time. Try 100 or 200 first then 400 and finish with 600.

I followed the directions. The hole was small. So I only mixed a small amount, about a quarter of the jar with a proportional amount of hardener. The result was amazing. The color was not exact, but acceptable. Great product!!
