Although I have not used them yet, it’s gear wrench I love all of their products. How ever unboxing them says it all. The case is super durable 4 locking tabs 2 plastic and 2 metal, and the metal tabs do not feel cheaply made. Heavy plastic case so I say it can take a beating. When u open up the case u have everything u need at ur finger tips. The sockets feel so beefy, I am kinda curious on how the laser etching will hold up but ehh not a concern really just picking at this point. They do kinda flop in around the case, would love to see it have a piece of foam or something in it. I’ll end up putting a piece of cardboard in it no big deal. I’d definitely recommend them hands down, hope it helps ... show more

    • 84934N - 84935N -- A great choice
I purchased both the 84934N (SAE) and 84935N (MM) I haven't seen a better socket choice than the Metric 84935N I don't use a cart and like my impacts in a case to store away or grab them all at once. I liked that I could have Metric in one case and SAE in another. The Sockets are all both gold printed and traditionally stamped with the socket size. The cases are well made heavier plastic with good metal latches. I've been using the cheap Pittsburgh deep impacts from HFT for 10yrs. Those work just fine, but I was missing in-between and larger sizes and needed to use my chrome sockets. With them on sale, I've not seen a better value in any cased set. The true value comes in the larger socket sizes that will cost $20 each if you don't have it when you need it. ... show more

    • All the right sizes, good quality
I've been using Gearwrench ratcheting wrenches for a few years, and they're my go-to tool for a wrench. Because of that good experience, I didn't hesitate to order this 1/2" drive impact set. I was looking for good quality and a certain range of sizes. An inch and a half is as big as you need in a half inch impact socket, and this set has it. The inch and five sixteenths lets you cheat on a 33mm, and the inch and three sixteenths lets you cheat on the 30mm. These sockets have a nice smooth finish. With the bigger sizes, sometimes your other hand is on the socket. I like the etched socket identification. The socket wall isn't excessively thick, and that's what you want. This is a high quality set of impact sockets that comes in a nice durable plastic case with metal latches. These geardrive tools are new to me but I am extremely satisfied with the quality and value of this set for only a hundred bucks. I also bought there big wrench set from 1-3/8" through 2" for basically the same amount and they are excellent as well. These are professional grad tools at bargain prices. ... show more

Bought to replace Harbor freight sockets and was not dissatisfied. Case is thick plastic, with latches on sides and front of case., So let's were very nice looking, labeled clearly and bite great, had no issues with stripped bolts and nuts. I'm a professional automotive technician so I use my tools A LOT. These can definitely take the use. Great price for a great set ... show more

1/2 deep well sockets. The case latch was broken during shipment, didn’t buy the set for the case. Good tight fit no wiggle room when placed on a nut. I’ve used these sockets for two months now with a Milwaukee Fuel impact driver, no issues at all.

Excellent socket set! Everything you expect it to be and more. In a time when everyone tells you that light weight is better, gear wrench stepped up and made a real heavy duty impact socket set. If you like or remember the way things use to be made you’ll appreciate the quality of this tool.

Excellent and very complete set! Great that they're chromoly instead of the vandium (which tend to be weaker/likely to shatter, and thicker to compensate) The size is laser etched on the side for easy reference, but also stamped into the lower side around the socket deeply, so no matter what it will always stay identifiable! Plus the GearWrench known quality and customer service help make this an even better deal! ************* I found that my 1-1/2in socket was replaced by another 1-7/16in socket, package was sent to me new, plastic wrapped, with the paper packaging labels around it all. likely done at the factory. trying to figure out the best way to handle this issue. ... show more
