Features

  • GearIT Microphone Stand With Boom Arm - Built for heavy touring, live performance and recording studios, this tripod boom mic stand extends so you can place the microphone exactly where you want it. Three adjustment points and steel construction make this a professional alternative to flimsy mic stands.
  • Extended Boom Arm (2.5 Feet) - For vocalists who play instruments, this mic stand features a boom arm that reaches over keyboards, acoustic guitars, and even hi-hats for those singing drummers! Angle the boom arm up to add extra height, making it possible to extend your microphone well over 7 feet high.
  • Three Versatile Adjustment Points - Dial in the perfect height, reach and tilt to put your microphone exactly where you want it, knowing your boom mic stand will stay in place due to the pro-grade steel joints. Unlike cheap microphone boom stands, this stand features a heavy-duty steel tripod, too.
  • Cable Management Clips Included - If youve ever tripped over a cable (and lets face it, you have) then you know cable management solutions aren't optional. Prevent mishaps and keep your vocal setup clean with the included clips for tying your XLR cable to the boom arm and down the stand.
  • Rugged and Ready for the Stage - For gigging musicians and busy music venues, microphone stands just need to work. Theres no time to waste with replacing your mic stand every time one breaks. This boom mic stand is made for professionals who rely on their gear to last in the long term, show after show.

  • Nice Mic Stand at a Reasonable Price
A few years ago, some friends of mine formed a band and I sing with them occasionally. I bring my own mic and stand to these gigs, yet I wanted to update my old straight stand to a more versatile boom stand. I selected this particular boom stand for its reasonable price. But it is not cheap on features. The stand is made well using good quality steel. Initially, it took around 5 minutes to assemble. I love how user-friendly the stand is. It is easy to adjust the pole height and tighten. I just push the top portion to desired height and tighten to secure. I push the 3 end bottom poles down until they click into place. I especially like how secure the bottom is, as my previous stand was wobbly at the base. I’ve used this stand at gigs a few times now, and I am happy to say it sits very securely on stage - even when I’m dancing around like an overgrown teenager. When I am finished with the stand, I simply fold up the base and push the top and bottom toward each other. Convenient for transporting and storage. My only caveat with this stand is it took me a couple tries to screw my mic holder on to where the opening sits firmly on top of the boom arm pole. It screws on just fine. However, the first time I used it, I thought I had screwed the holder on good and tight – until I went to pull my mic out during a song and the holder slipped down like it hadn’t been tightened it at all. LOL BTW, this stand is intended for a corded microphone as mic clips are included. Nice feature, but I don’t really use them. I like my cord to hang loose since I tend to move my mic, and the stand around, while performing. All-in-all, this is a really good stand. I like it and would recommend. ... show more

  • decent product
Full disclaimer: I am picky with my music equipment and prefer to get my stands from well-known music stores. I can get better stands for another 4 or 5 dollars above this price point. Don't get me wrong, these are pretty decent stands. They are lightweight, which is desirable, but the lack of weight also contributes to the feeling that they could be made a little sturdier. I don't know how they would hold up over the long run - especially if you are a traveling musician. If you don't move them a lot, this would be a pretty good choice. No mic clip with these - so prepare to buy one of your own. ... show more

  • Nice, tall, and sturdy
Easy to put up, adjustable to fit almost any need you have for recording, but it appears you could us jt as a camera stand too, which is pretty cool in my opinion. The reason it didn't get 5 stars is that it didn't come with any mic clips or ways to actually put the mic on it out of the box, but if you already have clips that screw on, everything you need is all shipped ready to go. ... show more

  • Okay mic stand.
This GearIT Microphone Boom Stand would have to be considered on the low-end of boom stands, but, it will get the job done. It is light and can be easily taken with you.

  • Lightweight but with Care It Will Do Its Job Just Fine
My wife does a lot of voice recording and up to now she's been using one of my C-Stands which really was overkill for what she needed. So, I went looking for something smaller and lighter that would still do what she needed of it. I saw this GearIT stand and ordered it. The stand is very easy to get ready and there’s no assembly as such and it comes with some cable management clips. Her microphone uses a standard 5/8" thread but 3/8" can also be used if required. No microphone clip is supplied so you will need to get one if you don't have one already. The stand is of reasonable quality and as such will stand up to reasonable use. The joints do use a lot of plastic rather than metal so I would rate this as being more suited for home use or the occasional gig. It's a little too lightweight to stand up to being thrown around by roadies. Podcasting or something like that is the perfect use for a microphone stand like this and if you're into home studio recording or such like this is a good choice of stand. For the price point I would rate this as one of the better stands I have seen over the years. ... show more
