Used a couple times to cut 1 in” aluminum square tube … works well on my dewalt miter saw. The little chips fly around even with dust collection vacuum connected to it. Wear glasses/goggles. Cannot speak to the longevity or pro use, but for the small job I had was perfect.

I bought this blade to put on an old 10" miter saw so I could cut some aluminum L-channel that I was using to trim out some doors to a dog kennel. The blade works just fine, lasted through the whole job with no problem. Just be sure to wear your eye protection as this slings aluminum shavings like crazy (as will any blade when cutting metal). ... show more

Well, I have to admit that I, apparently like many others, installed the blade backwards initially. I'm so used to having the blade label on the left side and a clear, obvious indicator of the rotation direction, also on the left side, I just didn't pay enough attention. Remarkably, the blade actually cut the 2020 extrusion, even backwards. Of course, it kind of made a mess of it, which resulted in the need to use the belt sander to clean up the end and trim to final length. The blade would get quite hot during these cuts, leaving aluminum on the carbide tips as well as slag on the cut ends. The metal would get so hot that it melted the plastic insert on my 12" Milwaukee SCMS. And then, I finally decided to try reversing the blade. Oh my... the blade DOES indeed cut the 2020 like butter: square, clean cuts to accurate length since there was no sanding required. Just goes to show you that even after 40 years of familiarity with these tools, you can still learn something new... ... show more

Used blade to cut up 8 aluminum air cylinders. Easily cut through the 1/2" wall. When changing blade noticed one of the teeth missing. Even with that I felt I got my money's worth out of it.

I use this with a battery powered miter saw to cut aluminum extrusions for patio covers and screen rooms. I've cut a lot of aluminum with this and it still cuts like new. I don't see much, or any, difference between this blade and the more expensive well known brands I've used. It seems like it's going to last just as long but even if it wears out a little quicker it's still a good value at around 1/2 the price. I'll be buying another one as a backup since this style blade can't always be purchased off the shelf at the box stores. At this price it's not a big deal to keep a backup. ... show more
