Very nice and clean-looking cooktop. The screws to mount the hold-down bracket would not come out of the bottom of the cooktop. They just spun in there holds and I could not get enough of a grip on them to catch their threads and come out. The down-draft blower was significantly larger than the Jenn-Air cooktop it replaced. This required cutting the cabinet base to get the clearance required for connecting the vent. Works great so far. ... show more

This is just what we needed to replace an old cracked and broken whirlpool range. It's very handsome and the downdraft fan works very well and quietly. The only issue is it takes some effort to keep it clean. For a smudge free result you need the special cleaning cream.

    • Product is fine. Delivery not so much
My main concern s that the delivery person dropped the box onto my garage door and broke a piece off the door. There is no where to report this when surveyed about delivery. The options are set up to not accept an other answer. I've been a prime member for years and never had an incident, so this is very disappointing. cooktop was undamaged and fairly easy to hook up, so no problem with the product. ... show more

    • Nice cooktop
The media could not be loaded. I neede an electric cooktop with a downdraft to go into an island without a vent hood. We are very happy with how nice this product is and how quickly it heats. We had it professionally installed. The ignition is pretty quiet. Overall I’m pleased with the purchase.

The left rear burner did not work when installed 12/16/2024. Still waiting on the certified tech. To return with replace burner to repair.

    • Great Stove
Not many options for a down draft cooktop. We've had this for 2.5 months. Works great, love the "power boil" and the left burners that can heat in the middle for a griddle. I clean it with the recommended cleaner and pad. No scratches or issues so far - I use cast iron pans, steel wok, a very heavy steel griddle. Just keep it clean and don't drag your pans over the top. Clean it right away if rice boils over or it gets greasy - using it while dirty will make cleaning much harder later. I also use a razor blade to carefully remove chunky burned on stuff. Venting was a trick, going from a JennAir, but using flexible ducting and some creative thinking got it done. First stove arrived all smashed up, but that was on Amazon and the shady looking contract delivery service, not GE. Amazon replaced it promptly. Having to buy the clips to secure it in place is annoying, but not a deal breaker. Vent is powerful, but pretty loud. But is works well, as opposed to our 30 year old JennAir! ... show more
