I have used this filter and the FTHLM filter as well (more expensive and filters to a much lower level). I found that this filter from the taste, longevity, and look is no different than the LTLM and they both tend to wear out around 12,000ish gallons in my location. By wear out I mean the filter turns yellow in color and I know it's time for a replacement. With us it means less than 3 months but overall I prefer this filter to other equivalents or 3rd party filters. ... show more
