Reliable and cool. I bought this the summer of 2024, so this is the 3rd summer and it's still working like new. And it pairs via wi fi with the Smart HQ app. There are 3 issues I have with it. The ECO mode, which should turn the AC off when desired temperature, doesn't work properly and doesn't regulate the temperature. Another issue are the panel indicator lights time out so you can't see the settings. You have to hit the remote to turn them back on. And third is the remote. There is no indicator to show you the settings. You have to look at the AC to see the settings. But it works. Those 3 things are not a deal breaker. The most important thing it keeps me cool in my 200 sq. ft. bedroom. When it goes up to 95° outside it's 75° inside. And it's fairly quiet. ... show more

My apt. isn't that big maybe 1500sf to 1700sf. That was what was on my lease. I'm in a huge bldg where all the uniits are different. But the ad on Amazon said this window unit was good for 600sf to 800sf. I bought it because of the price and hoped it would just keep my frontroom cool. Well my whole apt is cool and livable. For people who need cool, non humid air for medical reasons like me, it's a Godsend! And it only adds about $50 a month to my light bill. ... show more

    • Fantastic AC & app control is amazing but I can’t get Alexa to connect

Wonderful AC - it really feels like it’s more powerful than the stated power rating which is fantastic. The app lets you control the AC from anywhere in the house with AC, showing the current temp setting and actual room temp which is very useful. The only hitch has been my inability to get Alexa connected. I can use the app to control the AC, but when I look under my account, it shows no devices associated with my account. So Alexa doesn’t see it. I don’t think it’s an issue with Amazon, and I hope I either find out what I’m doing wrong or they fix the app/account system. We are really surprised with how happy we are with this small air conditioner. It comes with paneling to cover up the typical unsightly air conditioner accordian panels so you barely even notice this air conditioner in a low level window (assuming your walls are white). It blends in nicely. Now, the power: we live in a temperate climate (Santa Monica) where until recently you didn't really need AC. With rising temperatures, we wanted to get more comfortable on the ultra hot days but knew we'd only need this for 20 or so days a year. So even though we have a 900 sq foot apartment, we opted for a cheaper AC since we figured some cool air would be better than none, and we didn;'t want to pay a crazy price for 20 days of cool air. This works perfectly for our unit. We have in the living room, and during the day we close the doors to both bedrooms and the office. During the night, we open the bedroom door to push the air into that room, and it cools down quickly. It wouldn't suffice for the whole space, but right now the second bedroom is an office so its no problem. That said, it would be cool enough so you are not sweating, so I still think you could swing it. Depends on how cold you like it (we are used to warm temperatures and don't like dry throats/stuffy noses that comes from an AC, which dehumidifies the place).     • DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY… didn’t last 3 years

Bought this Window Unit Aug 2021, it’s already gone. The medium fan blower setting is completely dead only have low and high, The control board is faulty causing it to randomly raise the temp or change it from cool to just fan, and then shut off, and the buttons on the unit do nothing use the remote it comes on for 2 mins and goes crazy, and you can’t even buy or find a replacement control board for it bc GE or aftermarket don’t offer it for this model. I’ve had other window units last 10+ years before having issues, this thing still looks brand new but doesn’t work at all. Didn’t even last a full 3 years.
