If you have cats, this is a MUST! I finally broke down and bought this after having it on my wish list for a while. I had bought several different types of litter boxes because we always dealt with the litter box stinking. I thought if I got a covered litter box it would help but it did not. I have to say, this piece of furniture is the real deal! It is functional, cute and perfect for the litter box. It was pretty easy to put together but it did take about an hour to an hour a half. I love that the litter box it hidden and not just out in the open any more. It does help keep down with the smell and it really helps not get litter all over the floor. This buy was 100% the best find ever. Fits a rather large cat box inside. The different shelves is perfect for pictures and or books. I love the wood and black metal style. And the framing makes it sturdy enough for my large cats. I have an F5 Savannah cat who hates the litter robot we have for our other Savannahs. We bought this and he immediately loved the privacy and was not bothered by the enclosure. The landing infront of the passage collects the crystal litter I use. The doors provide a large opening to easily bring in and out our xlarge cat box. Only thing I would modify is adding some kind of silicone caulking in the corners to prevent the litter from escaping between the cracks in the back and have a weather stripping on the front doors. I'm not afraid to pay extra for solid wood furniture. With that being said I was a little suspicious of this cabinet but chalked it up to something we needed in a hurry, it was inexpensive and it'll get me by for the time being. Well, it's not exactly high quality but I'm pretty satisfied with it for what it is. I do believe you're getting your money's worth here. Slow down, take your time, read the damn instructions and it's not that hard to assemble. I'd certainly recommend it. ... show more

Very heavy duty which I like and looks really nice. Cat likes to hide in the litter box sometimes (he normally doesn’t ever do this) so we'll have to see if this new behavior continues after we release him out of quarantine (dealing with a flea infestation of multiple animals so we're keeping them separate so we can treat the animals and make sure the environment is clear of fleas) ... show more

Arrived faster than expected. Was easy to put together with 2 of us, very clear instructions. I am so happy with how it looks and how it hides the litter box! I now finally have that tucked away and have storage above for all of my pets things. Also use the 2nd shelf to feed my cat so the dog can't get to the food. Very happy with this purchase. I love this purchase so much! Setup was a little frustrating and we had to find a different screw driver to make it work, but once it was set up it was totally worth it! My cat doesn't like it as much as I do, but she tolerates going inside. It doesn't hide smell too much but it's beautiful! I have had this litter box enclosure for the past 10 months, and I absolutely loved it! It took me about an hour to build, and that was completely on my own! It is a great way to hide the liter box along with adding storage to your home. My cats especially love the scratcher next to the litter box!

**edit** as a solution to my super messy cats I found a plastic tote that just fit inside the cabinet to contain as much mess as possible. Gotta keep the litter a bit deeper to avoid having to clean in the bottom cracks, and it won’t have any handles for getting it in an out but if I’m careful sliding it and take my time it’s no problem. It will definitely be worth it. (Once the cats actually use it…literally just made this) If anyone wants to know: tin snips, like for cutting metal sheeting or roofing, work amazing at cutting heavy duty plastics. Just take your time and be careful, small bites and cut off sections as you go especially around corners if its a stiff, brittle plastic like this tote was. Be too rough or take too big of snips or don’t relieve the pressure in certain places and it will crack where you don’t want **** This was actually the first thing I’ve ever bought online with metal parts, that had such nice clean holes, and not only were they drilled nicely, they were placed where they were supposed to be- I didn’t have to file any or drill new holes- it was exactly perfect. This is also the first product with any welds I’ve gotten online that had nice smooth and sturdy welds. Construction gets an A+ My cats like to dig deep and hard- they’ll throw half the litter out of the tub. And one of my cats has a tendency to miss the box entirely and pee outside. He’s a big boy (not Maine Coon big, but big enough he has a hard time fitting in some normal kitty things.) So for them specifically this wasn’t the best thing for litter. They are way easier to clean up after if I use a normal fully enclosed box with a flap door. I did manage for a while though with a little dust Broom for bigger mess and a handheld vacuum for smaller mess. So for now the cabinet has a bed inside instead and I’ll give them their larger treats (like dried minnows) in there where they can have time to eat them before the dogs steal it. It’s nice to have a dog free zone for them that isn’t the countertop. And it’s nice having a place to feed them where I don’t mind their kitty crumbs so much. I’ve never had such messy cats before. They even get food everywhere. I also like that the shelves are rated for so much weight- heck it’s nice this even says the weight limits at all. Most furniture doesn’t say or is not strong enough for my needs. I was looking at a different litter cabinet - a bench seat, until I saw that it could only support like 80 lbs or something- as a seat. It wouldn’t even withstand a child or mid sized dog sitting on it. A seat only for cats is seriously not practical in a small home- this cabinet and shelf on the other hand- very practical.
