  • 2 Year Review Update!: 2016 Sierra
UPDATE: After 2 years this is still the best accessory I have bought for my truck. I live in Michigan and get snow on it all the time and use a shovel to get the snow off. I was worried about scratches but no scratches for me. It’s super easy to adjust and I’ve actually taken it on an off a few times when you need it completely out of the way and it fits in your backseat. Out of all the products I have had and issues I have had this thing is perfect. Nothing to complain about and if you are on the fence the money you save in gas mileage should help make the decision easier. I can’t believe people spend twice as much for a worse product. Super easy install with a little help from YouTube. Works great at keeping water out and easy to use along with being a hard cover it clearly looks like a hardcover which is nice for protection. Super sleek design too very sharp. ... show more

  • Super easy install, solid construction
Great tonneau cover for an amazing price! Hard top tri cover that is rated to hold 300lbs evenly distributed on top. Has 4 latches on panel section closer to the cab of the truck, then the other two panels both have 2 latches each underneath and can only be opened when bed tailgate is opened. Secure and worry free that no one can get to your belongings. I replaced the cheap black plastic drain lines. One of mine came with a crack. I bought thick clear PVC tubing at Home Depot for like $10 that matched the inside diameter of the stock lines. Fit like a glove and will last longer with no leaks. I’ve posted pictures of the new tubing I used. ... show more

  • Overall a great tonneau cover
Disclaimer: purchased for a 2019 Silverado 1500 double cab (backseats are half doors) and extended bed (79 inches). It fits assuming you order for the correct size, so read very carefully for your model. Installation was a bit tricky due to some holes not existing where it should be. As pictured, the required rail latch needs to be anchored in a specific spot (inside a hole) using some pre-existing holes to fastend down the bolt. The right side of my truck didn't have this hole, so I had to carefully drill one in myself. Not having this installed would only secure the rail (resting/locking rail of tonneau cover) with two out of three latches; making the rail very loose. With hole created, the latch was secured and the cover was stable. The only real tedious part was ensuring the tonneau cover was placed centered correctly. Even a quarter of an inch off center would cause two problems: 1) it'll leave a gap open towards the railbed allowing water to drip in during rain and 2) provides little to no grip of the locking latches when closed. I had to center, gently close the trifold, eyeball center, reopen trifold, adjust, and recluse up to 3 times to ensure it was properly centered. Once it's centered, I crawled inside/underneath with a flashlight to fastend the bolts in place. Doing so ensured the tonneau stayed centered and didn't shift during the opening of the trifold. Once everything was set this tonneau cover has been great! It's rained a few times and my stuff has remained dry (no indication of rain with my canvas folding chairs). Despite only having 2/3 of the bed exposed, you can clearly see I had plenty of space for a weekend trip to a soccer tournament. Picture shows I had no problem storing and accessing my everyday drive items, plus luggage, 4 chairs, a canopy, and miscellaneous gear. So why not 5 stars? I wish there was a way to open the cover with tailbed closed. Also, cover is pretty heavy. Doesn't require two hands, but it's difficult with just one hand. Also, the locks to keep it closed are plastic and only grab about 1/4 inch of the side rails. Locks should have been a sturdier material or have multiple and cover more. If not properly centered then the locks grip even less. ... show more

  • Gator Hard Tonneau Cover
Product fit perfectly and seems extremely well built. It’s lightweight but still seems very secure. The install took about 10 minutes and they provide gaskets to seal up the tail gate. The locking mechanisms is quick and easy. Just the pull of a wire releases the clips to fold up the cover from the closed position. I really like that it’s made in America and would recommend to anyone looking for a hard tri food cover. ... show more

  • Great truck bed cover!
So this bed cover does leak. I expected that when I bought it. I just put clothing in totes when we travel, no big deal. Very simple to install. Looks great. Highly recommend this truck bed cover! They reccomend drilling holes to drain water, no way I was putting holes in my bed. Really no complaints so far. ... show more

  • JUNK !! Save your money
ABSOLUTE JUNK !! I had an old Roll n Lock cover on the back of my 2013 Chevy that I had to customize to fit the back of my truck. It worked perfectly for 5 years and it was 5 years old when I bought it!! The main box on the Gator is held up by cheap plastic flanges so when you roll the cover all the way back it sags from the weight. The clamps they give you to hold the rails are hard to Install and hard to keep in alignment. The side rails don't want to stay down. There is nothing in the Instructions on how to secure the main box. This was just a huge waste of my money....Thats what I get for trying to save a buck. GATOR..Send me a refund and i'll sent it back !!! ... show more

  • Tailgate overlap is not sufficient, simple to install.
Installation was relatively easy. I was able to do it without anyone else; however, an extra set of hands would have been nice when bolting the cover to the frame. LESSON LEARNED...After completing the installation, the rear edge of the cover extended to the inside edge of the tailgate, i.e., no overhang. I was able to shift the whole cover back a quarter of an inch to create some overlap but this exposed the weather strip at the cab end of the bed. I suggest not affixing the weather strip until after you get the cover in place such that it overlaps and seals the tailgate end. I would ignore the diagram in the instruction showing the weather strip centered on the top edge of the truck bed at the cab end. Addendum...I had my truck out for the first time in the rain after installing. The lack of a good overlap at the tailgate resulted in some water getting into the bed of the truck. I feel like the cover is at least 1 inch too short for a 5' 9" bed. ... show more
