Description

Recoil by Gator is a retractable truck bed cover constructed for the ultimate in durability and bed security. Its tough, aluminum slats are held together by a strong elastomer hinge to eliminate any water and debris from entering your truck bed. To top it all off, the aluminum is powder coated with a textured, matte-black finish to preserve your truck bed from scratches and corrosion. Opening the cover is easy: simply release the driver's side latch and use the tether to move the cover back and forth. Once opened, the cover slides into a no-profile canister that sits flush with the sides of your bed. A set of adjustable latch stops lets you pick three intermittent locking positions for the cover, giving it even more value and versatility. The Recoil truck bed cover has three adjustable, intermittent locks, which allows for custom locking points along the bed rail to fit a variety of hauling needs. Whether you’re moving your friend into a new home, or carrying your golf clubs to the next green, Recoil has you covered. This retractable cover is made in the USA with globally sourced materials, and backed by a two-year guarantee. Tonneau Material Polypropylene.

  • Great purchase!!!
Style: Hard Tri-Fold Size: 5' 7" Bed
This bed cover is very nice and fits my F-150 like a glove. I’ve only had it a couple days, but I believe it will serve its purpose for many years to come. I removed my old bed cover and installed the new one by myself in an hour. I’m proud to say it’s made in the USA!!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

  • Works great
Style: Soft Roll-Up Size: 5' 7" Bed
Purchased for my husband's F150. Fits perfect, looks great. Water resistant so far. Functions and rolls great. So far durable we have had it for about 3 months. Half the price as we found down town. The one down town had a heavier material but so far this has done very well. We are pleased and find it to be of good value ... show more

  • Good tonneau overall
Style: Hard Tri-Fold Size: 5' 7" Bed
I installed this tonneau on my truck six months ago to protect some cargo on a trip from NY to Iowa. The installation was a little tricker than I thought. I had a very hard time getting the brackets to feel secure. I'm still not entirely sure it is on 100% but it hasn't flown off yet! In fact, when I was in Iowa in May there were some severe tornados in the area. I was driving 70 MPH with a steady 40 MPH crosswind for 1-2 hours and it didn't budge even a little bit! That trip gave me good peace of mind that it isn't going anywhere, but I still check it from time to time and cinch the bracket bolts and the bolts that keep the front section in place occasionally. I am surprised that they loosen up as much as they do. I think the manufacturer should put a little lock-tite or thread locker to make sure the bolts don't back out. Another point of concern is the weather stripping. It seems to deform easily over time and has shown a considerable amount of wear under normal use in just six months. It isn't tearing, but it is showing stress marks where the panels fold back on the other panels. Hopefully this doesn't get worse over time. The tonneau has kept things very dry. I routed the drain hoses out the existing bed accessory plugs and didn't have to drill through my factory bedliner. I use my truck more now for long trips. It's been great on a couple camping trips this past summer, and nice that I don't have to use tarps to protect the gear in the bed. I also keep a small toolbox and a few essentials in the back and I don't worry about it getting exposed to the elements or prying eyes. The other week I got some new appliances and liked how easily it was to fold up and secure in the open position to haul taller items. I wish I would have got a hard tonneau years ago. I don't think I'll ever own another truck without one! ... show more

  • Easy install. Looks great on my 2014 Ford Raptor
Style: Hard Quad-Fold Size: 5' 7" Bed
I've had this cover on my truck (Ford Raptor) for just under a month. Love the fit and look of it. Had a soft, roll-up cover in the past and it never really laid flat. This one lays flat. I chose the quad-fold over the tri-fold because I wanted more space for taller loads. Easy one person install but it's faster with two. Found I was missing a part and contacted the seller. Communication was great and received the part within a few days. The cover has been exposed to light rain and it kept the bed dry. So far, I am very happy with the purchase. ... show more

  • Easy install and great looking
Style: Retractable Size: 6' 7" Bed
I removed my old cover and installed the new one in about 2 hours. It was pretty simple just follow the instructions closely and pay attention to which way you put the nuts in the rail for the clamps. I found it easier to start the rail clamp nuts before sliding them rails. I had seen some complaints about the holes in the rail not lining up with the canister but if you slightly lift the canister and slide the rail in fully it’s not an issue. Haven’t had much of a chance to see how weather proof it is yet but it does seem to be fairly well sealed. The retractable function is more of an assist than an auto retract so it’s not going to slam open when you pop the latch you do have to push it to get it to move but it’s super easy to operate and has a great profile. ... show more

  • Would buy again.
Style: Soft Roll-Up Size: 6' 7" Bed
I originally bought my cover to just hide my items in back of my truck from thieving eyes. I did not think a cheap cover would make a water tight seal. But this cover will make a water tight seal on a 2019 F150. I’m not sure if it works on all trucks, but it works on mine. Now if I take a pressure washer and stand and spray some of the corners, a little bit of water will leak into the bed at the edges. But it’s not enough to make me worry that my stuff will be wet. In my experience, I have not had rain water leak into the bed while driving or sitting still. Onto the install, I had no experience putting one of these covers onto a truck before. I would say it probably took my brother and I longer to install than it should have. The instruction are not the best so I opted to use their YouTube video or a video here on Amazon (can’t remember) for a how to install. The hardest part is connecting/sliding the cover into the metal frame connected at the front of the bed. We finally got it slid into the grove only to find out we had the cover upside down. Other than that it’s not hard to install if you follow the how to video. I’m sure if you took the time and got the angles almost perfect the cover would be water tight against anything. Mine has been through about 20,000 miles and the elements and still works as intended. I have had no issues at any speed (including the factory set speed limit) incase anyone is wondering about that. I will say if you do not intend to carry anything like a 4 wheeler or anything that takes the whole bed of the truck and is taller than the cover, I would suggest getting a hard cover that is foldable. This is because it is tedious to roll and unroll the cover multiple times in a day. Other than that, this cover is perfect. ... show more
