You know you made a good purchase, when you decide you need a second one. I expected it to be useful to double mic a boom mic stand for voice and guitar, but I keep finding other applications. Great with a desk mic stand to avoid covering the face of guest speakers. Or to keep a mic behind and over a computer monitor out of frame. Have used on a short boom pole to get just the right angle. Even used as a makeshift mic stand on a podium when the built in stand turned out to be broken.

I needed a mic holder that would attach to the shaft part of the mic stand, not the top of it, because I have an iPad mount on the top. They're surprising hard to find. But I found this one, and it works perfectly. Thumb-screw mount is solid, and, with the telescoping length, it should be about right for most applications. It's perfect for me and my guitar. This, by the way, was to replace the only other one I could find, which was more of a boom arm (extended to both sides of the mic stand). Unfortunately, it was crap and the plastic mounting hardware shattered after a while. This one is a metal mount. So far, so good.

Love the product. Unfortunately, it took Amazon two tries to get me the correct product. There was a non-adjustable clamp attached to an adjustable clamp card. But it’s all good now and return was a snap.
