The 16” reach to the end of the boom provides ample distance. The angle adjustment clamp’s interlocking teeth securely locks the boom angle in place while allowing 270 degrees of rotationfor perfect placement. The 5/8 –27 Male Threads at boom end with jam nut fits on most any microphone. The GFW-MIC-CLMPBM16 by Frameworks is a great space saver when using a second microphone stand is not an option. You know you made a good purchase, when you decide you need a second one. I expected it to be useful to double mic a boom mic stand for voice and guitar, but I keep finding other applications.     • Sturdy and perfect length
I needed a mic holder that would attach to the shaft part of the mic stand, not the top of it, because I have an iPad mount on the top. They're surprising hard to find. But I found this one, and it works perfectly. Thumb-screw mount is solid, and, with the telescoping length, it should be about right for most applications. It's perfect for me and my guitar. This, by the way, was to replace the only other one I could find, which was more of a boom arm (extended to both sides of the mic stand). Unfortunately, it was crap and the plastic mounting hardware shattered after a while. This one is a metal mount. So far, so good. ... show more

Love the product. Unfortunately, it took Amazon two tries to get me the correct product. There was a non-adjustable clamp attached to an adjustable clamp card. But it’s all good now and return was a snap.
