Description

Birmingham. 4th February 2017. The End. After nearly fifty years it was the final show of Black Sabbath's Farewell Tour back where it all began in their home city of Birmingham, the industrial heart of England. There could be no more appropriate place for the Godfathers of Heavy Metal to take their last bow. Geezer Butler, Tony Iommi and Ozzy Osbourne delivered a set that focused on Black Sabbath's classic seventies albums, the albums that defined a genre and inspired future generations. It was an extraordinary, emotional night for both the band and the fans and one that will never be forgotten. Bonus Features include the Angelic Studio Sessions - full performance footage of brand new recordings of five classic early Black Sabbath tracks: (1) The Wizard (2) Wicked World (3) Sweet Leaf (4) Tomorrow's Dream (5) Changes.

  • A powerful farewell.
So many bands limp away when it’s time. Sabbath kicked it up a few notches 🤘🏼

  • INCREDIBLE!
This concert aired on Direct TV about 3 weeks ago. I was flipping through the channels and happened to land on it. I was blown away...i immediately ordered the bluray....i didn't even know it existed...come to find out it was THREE YEARS OLD! D'oh!....Geez, i wonder what other HD classic concerts there are out there that i don't know about??????...This concert and AC/DC - Live At Donnington are the best concerts i've ever seen on bluray so far....Black Sabbath never sounded better...they still sound every bit as good as they did in the early 70s with the exception that Ozzy can't hit the high notes anymore...otherwise its like still living in the 70s....He actually does a better job in the angelic sessions portion of the disc.....he almost sounded like the ozzy of the 70s there....Sweet Leaf and Tomorrows Dream were a real treat....if you grew up back in those days like i did you really should get this if you don't already have it...it will bring back so many acid memories!......"Generals gathered in their massezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!...just like witches as black massezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!".....Sabbath RULES! ... show more

  • Maravilloso concierto.
... show more

  • Mix was horrible. Missed B. Ward in a big way! Did I mention the crappy mix?
Sound mix was pretty bad. Geezer's bass was way too high in the mix drowning out Iomni's guitar at sometimes very important moments. I'm a musician that knows how to mix so it was not just a matter of eq settings, etc. Sorely missed B. Ward's drums. This guy just overplayed his double kick anytime there was a complicated drum sequence and he was turned up too high in the mix as well. Ozzy's box was good in the mix. The band overall could have been much tighter. Not going to comment on the performance vs. 45 or so years ago when they were at their prime. Did not dig the slow mo catches of 40-50 year olds head banging (or something like that) in the audience. Damn that mix though... too bad they could not pull off a good mix especially on an occasion such as this! Or did I get I repackaged crappy import. Returning this DVD immediately. ... show more
