I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. I installed this on my 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab with the 6' 4" bed, and it fits like a glove. This was actually the second cover I ordered from Amazon. The first one I bought was from a different manufacturer that advertised it as a perfect fit for my specific year, make, and model—but when it arrived, it wasn't wide or long enough for the truck. I had to send that one back and decided to go with a brand I already knew and trusted. I’ve purchased Gator covers for my 2014 and 2017 Ram 1500s in the past, and once again, they didn't disappoint. Lesson learned: don't cheap out on anything for your vehicle, even something as simple as a truck bed cover. It’s worth paying for the quality and the guarantee that it will actually fit. Happy with an easy install and looks great. The only thing is that it says "free cargo holder". It's misleading because it refers to the straps that hold the cover when rolled up. Other than that, not a bad cover for the price.

I’ve had this cover for 3 years and it has performed perfectly. A month ago it had one small section ( about a 4” length) of the loop strip, on the cover, started the fray. It would no longer hold in the section. I called the factory customer service number on the owners/installation manual and spoke a young lady named Jamie. She was very helpful and concerned. She asked I send a picture of the area to their email and she’ll get back to me. I was a little skeptical but I sent the picture. She sent a email the next day and said they were sending a replacement top and a set of new hook strips for the rails. I received it a week later. I followed the enclosed top replacement instruction and had it done in 45 minutes. Since day one this top fit perfectly and now it does as well. I like the low profile of this top compared to the other brands that look like they were and after thought that just sits on the top of the bed. They don’t have that custom built in look as the Gator tops. I can’t say well enough about this company. They stood behind their 10 year warranty impeccably. I have a new truck coming in the future and I will definitely be purchasing from them again. Thank you Gator for a job well done! ... show more

It took me an hour to install the cover on my 2012 Ram 1500 Quad cab. I have never installed one of these before so I throughly read the instructions and took my time. I was delighted to find out that you really can roll it up without crawling into the back of the truck. It rolls up easily from the side and lays down easily, too. I like the roll-up straps and the hook-loop mechansim; the straps are semi-elastic and the hooks are plastic, but really easy to use. I like its fit in the bed of the truck and that is it is not above the bed. I really like that there are built-in support beams that assist in keeping it flat when deployed and assist in the rollup process with keeping it straight. It is a good design and the price was not bad. (didn't know it would get better) The only kicker is that, today, Amazon dropped the price $30. Amazon does not do price credits -- only returns. I don't want to return it and reorder, so I am out $30. But... That is not Gator's fault. Gator makes an excellent, high quality product. You should really get one of these if you want a tonneau cover. ... show more

This is my second Tonneau Cover. My first is on my 2007 Ram 1500 and I just bought a 2019 Ram Classic 1500 so I needed a new cover. I have Adarac racks for my kayaks and other things and wanted a cover that did not cover the post holes and this was one of the very few that fit that criteria. I have not yet installed the racks as I need to take them off my 2007 but already checked to make sure they fit. I ordered this on Wednesday and received it on Friday and 45 minutes later I had it installed. Very easy. The rails fit perfectly so I did not need a clamp to hold them while I installed the permanent clamps. There is a gasket type seal on each rail and a rubber gasket type flap on each end. Those will likely keep out most of the water from rain. I live in Florida near the beach so lots of rain depending on the time of the year. The only tool needed was a socket wrench with 1/2" and 9/16" sockets. The 1/2" is for the rail clamps and the 9/16" is for the cover attachment to the rails. While I gave it a 5* rating for durability I am hoping that's not premature. The cover is warranted for 10 yrs. My other cover has a lifetime warranty but was almost twice the price 12 yrs ago. he material seems thick enough but only time and the Florida sun will tell. Anyway, it was easy and fast to install and does exactly what I wanted it to so zero complaints and a great price! ... show more
