I have a Gator EFX soft roll up tonneau cover on both my 2025 F-150 and my 2020 Chevy Silverado. Very good qaulity, one has even been through multiple hails storms and you cannot tell at all. The one on my Silverado ive had for over four years and not any problems at all. Would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a tonneau cover. I have been literally looking at bed covers for the past 15 years and never bit the bullet. I was skeptical of a bed cover in the $200 price range, but decided to give a try since the reviews were positive. In short, I have no idea why on earth I waited so long. I'm very pleased with the cover, it looks good, fits well and is very easy to install. We drove down the beach last week, it was a 3 hour trip in the pouring rain and there was no water in the bed. A few drops probably got in but for all intents and purposes it was pretty much bone dry. I really like the tensioning mechanism that locks it closed unless you open the tailgate. Since my tail gate locks it does a good job of hiding and providing some security to items in the bed. The cover rolls up nicely and the straps seem to secure it well; also the velcro does a nice job of holding it down on the sides. Something you can't see in the pictures is that there are two bars attached to the bottom of the cover by velcro straps that provides center support to the cover while it's deployed. I would definitely recommend this cover to anyone looking. I included a pic of the rails to show how they do intrude about 3/4" into the opening of the bed. ... show more

Okay fellas, I know many of you are, as you read this review, prolly already have several various Tonneau covers saved in your cart, and have watched about 20 YouTube video's titled: "The best Tanneau cover for (insert year)". I was originally going to pop $1400+ on a retractable cover, made by a brand name manufacturer, but I just couldn't get over the cost for what I was really looking for. I'm not a contractor, so heavy duty & security was not a major priority. I was; however, looking for great aesthetics for my truck, as well as basic security for stored items in the bed. I also wanted a cover that could easily allow access to the entire bed if needed and was easy to place back in its secure position. Well, this Gator cover is perfect for my needs, and as you can see in the photos, it looks great. I was amazed by the ease of install and the overall quality of the cover and hardware. I did it by myself which took all of around 35 minutes to complete. Tip: unpack and lay everything in the bed with you and do not place anything on the tailgate as you will need to shut it while you tighten brackets. Then there is this: Read the instructions before you start. I know some of you, like me, can handle Ikea instructions like a Boss, but just do it and save yourself a hassle. Trust me, it's a straight forward instal with only two sockets. All in all it was a great buy and I'm very happy with the purchase of this cover over a more expensive option.     • An Amazing Tonneau with a minor Flaw

First off, let me say that I actually really like this top a lot. It's just that I have owned many trucks and in turn tonneau covers, having bought my first back in 1998. So I'll take it in parts for the OCD shopper like myself; 1/ the cover itself- high quality, good stitching and construction. easy to fit into the retaining plate, install, and the velcro latching works like a dream in all weather. 2/ the bow system- they are included into the trop and as such roll up nicely and are self- contained. pretty much a standard of good tops these days. 3/ the rear latching mechanism- the best I have used so far! This is a really easy to lock and then open latch. no need to force anything and built so that its simple with no parts to snap or springs to pop out and break the latch. 4/ The mounting Rails. I am not a fan of the rails on the inside of the bed, as they can possibly get damaged if you use your truck as a truck and fill the bed with large, heavy objects, but I get the idea here... to keep a sleek look at the bedline and it does that nicely. 5/ Height adjustment for wether- I'm still figuring this one out. its an odd small block that is placed at the head of the bed rail, with different levels to help give the top tension. It does still seem to feel a bit loose in hot August days, however. Now the achilles tendon of the system; 6/ the rail mounting brackets. Decent machining, however they are mounted underneath the rails, using tiny grids to provide grip, and do not come with LOCKING washers OR nuts. This means that over time those nuts back off regardless of how tight you put them on. then the brackets drop off the rail and the affected rail starts to droop. when its a rear bracket, you have problems closing the tailgate, as the rails NEED to be above the tailgate for the system to work. UBER SIMPLE FIX for this, however. I have employed a total of $6.48 cents for locking washers and locking bolts that should have been part of the package to start with. This hack fixes the nut back- off issue and also allows you to tighten down the brackets firmly so that they do not fall prey to wriggling free and dropping off. So there you have it. a flawed but nice top, made in American by American labor, at a GREAT cost. If they spend the extra $7 (like only $1.50 if bought in bulk) on the right washers and bolts during production, they would have a winner tonneau. ... show more

I originally bought my cover to just hide my items in back of my truck from thieving eyes. I did not think a cheap cover would make a water tight seal. But this cover will make a water tight seal on a 2019 F150. I’m not sure if it works on all trucks, but it works on mine. Now if I take a pressure washer and stand and spray some of the corners, a little bit of water will leak into the bed at the edges. But it’s not enough to make me worry that my stuff will be wet. In my experience, I have not had rain water leak into the bed while driving or sitting still. Onto the install, I had no experience putting one of these covers onto a truck before. I would say it probably took my brother and I longer to install than it should have. The instruction are not the best so I opted to use their YouTube video or a video here on Amazon (can’t remember) for a how to install. The hardest part is connecting/sliding the cover into the metal frame connected at the front of the bed. We finally got it slid into the grove only to find out we had the cover upside down. Other than that it’s not hard to install if you follow the how to video. I’m sure if you took the time and got the angles almost perfect the cover would be water tight against anything. Mine has been through about 20,000 miles and the elements and still works as intended. I have had no issues at any speed (including the factory set speed limit) incase anyone is wondering about that. I will say if you do not intend to carry anything like a 4 wheeler or anything that takes the whole bed of the truck and is taller than the cover, I would suggest getting a hard cover that is foldable. This is because it is tedious to roll and unroll the cover multiple times in a day. Other than that, this cover is perfect. ... show more

Bought this for a trip up to Tennessee from Miami just to keep he lougaue out of the elements and it performed perfectly. This kept my items dry as intended. Keep in mind it is not completly water tight, you will always get some water infiltration but it is negligable from my experiance. The installation was easy only taking about 30 minutes because of my OCD everything has to be perfectly alligned. ... show more

I waited 2+ months before writing this review. Overall, I am very happy with this cover. It was my first install (took me about 45 minutes). I have always owned hard tonneau covers installed by a 3rd party for previous trucks, but never used them often enough to justify the 1+k price tag, so I thought I would save some money and go this route. I am glad I did. It's super quiet and living in Florida it has seen a lot of rain storms while driving. While it may not be 100% waterproof, the water that does enter the bed is more of a mist in a few areas (mainly corners). Since it is such a small amount, it evaporates on its own and has done an amazing job of keeping boxes dry. I do park in a garage, so it will get less wear and tear from the elements. Very easy to roll-up and down along with closing. If you are looking for a simple, durable, low profile and cost effective cover, I would recommend this Gator! ... show more
